Traversal, along with distance, can be used to calculate angular velocity.

There used to be an animated guide that I thought I had the bm to but I couldn't find it. |

I believe it is a large "plains-like" area somewhere in South Africa....

Like you should have learned from the tracking guide, transversal influences how well turret weapons can track (and therefore hit) targets that are moving relative to the shooter.
Of course people should look at angular velocity instead, because it relates more directly to turret tracking, whereas transversal without taking distance into account is pointless. ________________________ CCP: Where fixing bugs is a luxury, not an obligation. |

I would just like to mention here that transversal velocity technically isn't what determines how hard it is to hit a target - it's angular velocity.
A target with high transversal velocity, but is also at a very high distance will have a relatively low angular velocity, and will be easy to hit, provided you have the optimal range to reach them.
A low transversal velocity target at a very close range will have a relatively high angular velocity, making it very difficult to hit. ----------
