You need enough cap to run the repper when you need it. Constantly repping is a waste of cap as you will often end up repping nothing for some cycles. --

Without actually answering your question directly; there IS no good way to fit a prophecy for PVE, it's just not very good at it due to low dps. You're much better off getting or saving up for a Harbinger as it has much more dps, a better dronebay and is easier to fit.

Yeah, it's not really the reply you're after, but get a Harb.
It's better than the Prophecy in every way.
There is literally no reason to fly a Proph over a Harb other than bait. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pretty much. For missions, just hop over to this thread. There's also this thread from less than two weeks ago.

I would suggest using multiple types of frequency crystal instead of just Scorch. Some hostiles orbit at different distances and it's generally best to be prepared for both close range frigates and long range cruisers.
Equip some Multifrequency M for frigates when they get within 8km, it has very high damage but short range. Equip some Standard M for anything at medium range (10km-20km), it's effective and uses as little power as possible. Finally: Equip one of the two long range crystals, I prefer Microwave M but I haven't looked up the differences, I think one uses less Cap. But yeah, keep these on for anything between 20km-30km.
If you switch to beam lasers instead then the ranges are about 5-10km longer.
And once you get the cash try and get a Harbinger, it's a decent enough tank and has brilliant DPS with more drone slots.
