Guys in my corp keep telling me this is very useful in tanking as it helps active hardeners. Im thinking theyre reading it wrong.
Quote: To active shield hardeners: 3% bonus per skill level to Shield (type) resistance when the modules are not active To passive shield hardeners: 5% bonus per skill level to Shield (Type) resistance
That says to me it ups the resistance of active hardeners that are off. Is that right? What the hells the use of that? lol -------- Dammit, they killed the post where Sreegs says personal attacks are against the rules. I wanted to lol at him for that |

Few reasons its useful, when you get capped out.. Either in pve Wh/incursions/lvl5s, means theres still some resist giveing the logi time to help you..
In pvp, if/when you get capped out, 12% resist (at lvl4) could be enough to help you win the fight or gtfo
Its upto you how much you put a value on it, for me its well worth getting them all to 4, possibly the em resist to 5..

at some point you might wnat to experiment with passive resists. Like the idea of cap stable....these help.
but if you stay active...forgetting to turn on hardeners happens to the best of us. On some ships, although small...those passive boosts on a active hard not turned out work pretty decent. One mission in my tengu...tank was holding well. But redder than usual. Look down and went ohh crap, tank not turned on. Why I switched to passive resist setups tbh. Passive boost on the hards was fine with the speed tank...screw it go full bore passive resist. Unless omni needed (mainly do to lazy)...2 passives and moar cap for the booster.
