Overall, pretty decent positive impression. Still, a few negatives that are pretty annoying to me.
Why the bloody hell does only ONE battery ever recharge by itself, while I have to "eat" stuff to replenish the rest ? This is PARTICULARLY annoying with the cloaking device, which eats through batteries like crazy even when max-upgraded. And come on, takedowns ALSO eating up a FULL battery ? COME ON ! At least give me some shops here and there with infinite supplies of candy bars (or whatever you call them), isn't it enough that they clutter the inventory and cost credits to purchase ? Also, you'd think they'd supply the main guy with some bloody half-decent ammo at the start of the mission (even in exchange for credits, I'd understand that too), but nooooo, you have to scrounge for it like a freaking Fallout wasteland survivor. Oh, and don't get me started on the freaking "Wayfarer" default and unupgradeable navigational assistant thingy... it's more of a nuisance than a help, especially with the clunky map. I'm only on the "second city" (in China), but it's already starting to bug me pretty badly. Just show me the freaking actual destination and let me set my waypoints, dammit !
Other than that, pretty good.

Originally by: Sobach if the battery recharges fully, then you can basically run through the entire game doing cloak > double-takedown on everyone for lulz every few minutes.
You can still do that to a certain degree, you just need to either consume food or just do it only two at a time (since that last battery ALWAYS recharges).
Quote: not sure why you have issues with ammo, unless you're doing a lot shooting. For the majority of my playthrough i was drowning in ammo, but then I didn't use my guns much.
You'd think I could just go to an obviously map-labeled gun shop somewhere, sell all the ammo and weapons I had no intention of using, and buying the type of ammo for the weapon(s) I want to use instead... but nooooo. I was indeed drowning in multiple guns with ammo scattered all across different weapon types, sure... but I could not get enough ammo for my favourite weapon(s). Which basically meany I was forced to either use many different weapons to shoot with, or use my favourite weapon(s) extremely sparingly.

Soooo...
I created my very own "No, really, DO actually TELL me a story" lowest difficulty level. All hail memory editing ! 60+k of each ammo type I actually use and 1-inv-slot candy bars. Yeaaaaah
What ? I just want to see the story, I'm not interested in micromanaging inventory. _

Originally by: Antiochus Laetus I like having multiple batteries...how else can you stay stealth for long periods of time or use smart vision[...]
The same way you'd do it with 5 cells or just 2 cells - keep eating energy bars. They're instant consumption, no cooldown time, no nothing. Just have them mapped to a hotkey and use it at any time you've completely depleted a battery. _

Oh, and how could I forget to mention it. Lack of windowed mode option. And it's not like the engine won't support it or anything - it's just DISABLED. There's even a registry setting for it, but it keeps changing back from "false" (windowed) to "true" (fullscreen) if you edit it. Yes, I play almost all my games in windowed mode (all of them that support it, that is). You could probably force DXHR into windowed mode somehow, but it's highly annoying that it's not an ingame option. _

Originally by: Destination SkillQueue [...]Probably the worst and laziest way to implement a multiple choice ending, that I've ever seen. Absolutely horrible. Even the familiar philosophical parts in the end where each side gets to defend their point of view was mostly very unconvincing. [...] It's still a great game, but the end didn't leave a good taste in my mouth and for a deus ex game it's not actually that deus exy outside the game mechanics. Meaning the conspiracy and philosophical portions of the game are underdeveloped compared to the first game.
Two words : Square Enix. _
