So what is the deal with Civy modules?
Some of them seem ridiculously expensive, I can only assume that no more of these modules are being produced, and they are collectors items?
I seem to remember getting a Civy damage control in the tutorials, and that was the only source of them. I started a new character (on the same account), didn't get a civy DC. The civy shield resist mods, Remte rep mods are still in there
I assume the expensive civy modules were only offered in tutorials, and they are no longer offered? As opposed to the civy shield boosters that drop all the time in missions?
IMO, all civy modules should be readily available (ie, cheap, low research cost/time BPOs for civy modules). Anyone else agree?

They are for tutorials ONLY to teach you what they do and how to use them. They only really work in tutorials too..

The only reason they are expensive if because there are some trolls who want to outsell a newbie. |

They should be removed IMO - they are screwing the noobs over because they hang on to those mods believing they can actually protect their ships. Give them a T1 small variant instead and make sure their starter skills are good enough to use them form the start (how difficult can it be with 800k SP)

The civilian shield booster has some applications for extremely CPU-constrained mining ships, but that's the only application I've ever seen for civilian mods. The civilian shield booster is also the only one which drops with any frequency.
Not really a problem.

So is there currently any source for Civilian armor repairers? Civilian Damage control modules? Civy mining drones? 'cause these seem to be the expensive modules
I figure they might be useful on ship with a tight fitting, since they have low fitting requirements. But to be honest, I want them for Rookie frig, civy module only, 1v1s.
How about Rookie frigs come with all their slots filled with civy modules?
Ie, an Ibis comes with: 1x civy railgun, 1x civy miner, 1x civy damage control, 1x civy shield booster.
Perhaps a Velator comes with 1x civy hobgoblin, 1x civy mining drone, in addition to/instead of the civy blaster/miner

I've got a blueprint for Civilian Shield Booster.
They are commonly used on Mackinaws when using 2x T2 ice harvesting upgrades, because nothing else will fit.
Civilian modules don't use CPU or grid.
