Most of us could care less as well, but it seems to most people that they are investing all their resources in shiny new crap, and avoiding game issues that have been active for years....

Exactly, instead of fixing stuff like hybrids and expanding the game it seems they entire manpower of 3 devs that dont work on dust and wod is devoted almost exclussively for adding new clothes... And lets not start about "quality and excellence" of few last "expansions" that dont really deserve to be named "content patches"...

art (clothes) and game devs (hybrids, functionality changes) are different departments.
soon as people learn that game companies can do more than one thing at once.....

The OP needs to understand that ^ is the 100% serious bit. It's the effort spent developing cosmetic items instead of improving the player experience, that's causing the emo-rages. Not the items themselves.

and i already replied to that. basically that line is a load of horse ****.
but then i'm a software engineer and i understand how programs like games get implemented.
again Art (NEX items) != Core Developers (Game Mechanics, etc). and often while the core devs are busy the art department has jack**** to do.

They are spending my subscription fees on developing merchandise that we have to pay for, that no one, most people, do not want.
My fees, similar to my taxes, should go towards that which benefits me directly, and not with additional costs associated with them.
Eve should be free to play if they have microtransactions.

You are an idiot.
This is what I see as the problem with the NEX.
Talk vanity only all you want, what they really want to do is implement pay for content. Hell they hedge it in Vanity, vanity shouldn't be the line because vanity could end up being game play affecting. it should be Cosmetic only. But they won't commit to that because where they really want to go is down the path that Battle Field Hero's went with the full on money for in game advantage.
The link I posted is an example of where actual in game functionality was removed with the intention of charging for it's return.
Notice CCP has not once officially acknowledged this issue. Not once, well unless you count the Fearless publication where it was most certainly mentioned in the context of CCP Soundwave saying "hey we can charge this idiots for stuff we took away" yeah I'm paraphrasing but that's what it boils down to.
Just because you live in a fantasy land doesn't mean the rest of us do. I still haven't re-subscribed this account as I wait to see if the smacking around we gave them back in July sunk into the heads of the greedy little bean counters so in love with Pay 2 win.

only person i see living in a fantasy land is you, and in your "fantasy land" you're scared.
the thread you linked to is where they implemented a cap on the number of saved fittings - most likely for data storage reasons (space quotas) with no indication that they planned to charge for it's return. if you want to make assertions like that you better have the evidence to back it up or expect to be called a liar. (OP of the thread you linked had no evidence for his assertion, thus in turn neither do you)
just because you're predisposed to believing negative things because you're acting like chicken little doesn't mean those are accurate. if you want to make assertions about CCPs intentions then you're going to need to post EVIDENCE.
TLDR version: stfu liar.

Its people like the OP that wont give a **** till they realize CCP has started making ships an ammo to be sold on NeX an then its far far too late to do anything. -------- CCP knows better than the players whats good for their game. SOE knew what was best for SWG too. Better than all those players that left too. This is your NGE/CU moment CCP. |

that argument is known as the slippery slope. there is a reason why it is considered a logical fallacy.
perhaps when you learn to discuss things like an adult CCP will actually listen to you.

Have you read the Fearless document? it's been linked enough lately. If you had you'd see this specific limitation mentioned by CCP Soundwave as something really need to sell.
Now maybe the limited the fittings to a ridiculous number for reasons unrelated to the MT, however how much of a leap is it from restoring functionality that was removed unrelated to micro-transaction via micro-transaction and intentionally removing functionality in order to sell it back?
But hey keep sticking your fingers in your ears going "lalalalal!!! I can't hear you". We'll know in another year or so when they think things have calmed down enough to try again.

I don't even care about this, let CCP do what they want, it's their game.
What I do care about, is what it will be like being forced to move into NPC nullsec.
But, aside from that, I agree, it's coming up on 3 months now I think. No one cares about your whining, I think that's pretty flippin' obvious by now. MTs are staying and they will continue to affect you in no way. Fly safe, Die hard |

Actually, read the May CSM minutes. There's a whole chapter devoted to shooting down things asked for by CSM and/or players, citing "Anything that needs art assets is a no-go". And that included A LOT of things that in my mind had nothing to do with art in the slightest way.
POS streamlining, something every WH corp needs desperately? Sorry, no art time. New ships? No art time.
I forgot what else, and am too frustrated to read it again. But MT items ARE harming the game already.

link to this document your purport to constitute evidence for your position.
PS: expecting people to have EVIDENCE does not constitute sticking your fingers in your ears, it constitutes expecting people to be capable of backing up their claims like any reasonable adult should be capable of doing.

A) link to them shooting down those items B) the artists that do ships, stations and interface are not likely to be the artists that do NeX items. Usually different artists are good at different things, just like everyone else. C) "CCP are not doing the things I want them to do!" does not constitute harm to the game.
it is as likely as not that NeX items are taking time from Artists that would have been dedicated to other things. but then again CCP has wanted to do Incarna for 5 years, so they likely already had a whole ****ton of artwork budgeted out.
You and I would probably agree on a lot of the things they SHOULD be doing, what we're disagreeing on is that you are overreacting to a silly cosmetic side thing.

Stupid clueless OP, we do not care about MT, we care about the resource allocation within CCP.
While 94.73% of CCP's resources are completely tied up in making a couple of Nex store items every month there is no time for them to do more productive things like releasing the Incarna 1.1 patch this tuesday...
