Just interested to hear from other WH dwellers out there...
Is it just me or are Melted Nanoribbons appearing far less frequently?
I seem to recall getting 3 or 4 per sleeper site with monotonous regularity, but lately I'll often clear 2 or 3 sites for none at all. Is anyone else experiencing this also?
Last time I looked, they were making about 6.3 per unit. If this is indeed a trend I can only assume this will rise dramatically...

I reckon we need a "the melted nanoribbon drop is broken" permenent sticky for these forums. It's a topic that gets asked with monotonous regularity. I gues sthat shows that most posters do not check for previous on-topic threads before their own posts. Guilty also your honour!
The bottom-line is usually "It varies". In my last system a better site would deliver anywhere from 2 to 13 melteds while a less intensive one provided 0 to 10. I'd be unhappy some days when I got less nanos from a tough anom than I did from the opportunistic ratting of a grav site.
It varies, it varies, and it varies :-)

Even considering that alot of these threads must be trolls, that's still a whole lot of stupid out there.

The problem is you aren't salvaging fast enough: if you take too long, the ribbons completely melt away.
If you salvage fast enough, you may end up getting an intact nanoribbon, but I haven't been getting these as often lately. Anyone know if they've been nerfed? _____________________ Manens in ignorantia, putantes se sapientes et scientes, stulti vanum huc eat atque illuc, sicut caecus caecumducit |

Lol either this is a troll or a very confused person.
But yea I agree with the post about the random patterns. Everything is randomized in eve loot and salvage wise. They can't all be winners.
And hey look at it this way, if the price of nanoribbons go up, then that means they will be more profitable for you when you do start to get em again. Just do like everyone else. Hold out, stockpile, mass sell and make money.

Seems perfectly random.
I got 5 ribbons off of the rat spawn in a C1 Ladar site last week.

Seems the same randomness to me as it did a year ago. I think the price of the ribbons are going up as a lot more people are manufacturing, I know I have. I assume this because there are a whole lot more and cheaper T3 ships and subs available on the market. My first tengu with subs cost round 500mil more than a year ago, and you had to go to Jita to get it, if you buy it now it would cost less than 400mil and you could probably do it Dodixie.

My secret inside source told me that CCP devs regularly participate in a drinking game involving a) denying hardworking players of the valuable drops they are entitled to; and b) copious amounts of alcohol.
I have no doubt that the scoring involves the success rates in getting victims to post forum threads.

I have often wondered about that. Perhaps when the T3 salvage modules are available, we will salvage sleeper ships more efficiently? I hope it's introduced soon.

Right, so...
The first rule of nanoribbon drop rates is: don't complain about nanoribbon drop rates unless you have collected field data and have done the statistical analysis to support your complaint.

I never, ever got an officer spawn while ratting. It could be:
a) random officer spawns are random, or b) i did it in highsec.

I too have noticed a drop in nano counts. Initially I put it down to random numbers being random, but as time goes on and nano counts stay down it is getting harder to ignore.
Blame CSM and Mittens wantng to nerf wh space. It almost certainly isn't this, but we gotta blame someone.

If its a global drop in them dropping, does it matter? The price will increase accordingly and everyone keeps making isk.

What was you 100+ anomaly average before and after the drops slowed down? . Adapt and overcome or become a monkey on an evolution poster.
