Simple......give the hunter the targets ship he is killed in. Prevents alts from just filling the bounty since it was his ship that was destroyed. Signatured removed, CCP Phantom |

Using Alts set to -10 sec status (very easy to do in very short time), blow them up in whatever, repeatedly, even a shuttle. Reprocess for ore, sell ore. Make lots and lots of ISK for free.
Very exploitable. The universe is an ancient desert, a vast wasteland with only occasional habitable planets as oases. We Fremen, comfortable with deserts, shall now venture into another. - STILGAR, From the Sietch to the Stars. |

Pilot A puts bounty on pilot B lets say there is a 5mil fee to place a bounty. Pilot C sees bounty on pilot B and proceeds to kill pilot B. Once the kill is complete the ship that pilot B was flying at the time of the kill appears in pilots C hanger as payment for the bounty. Signatured removed, CCP Phantom |

What? You didn't really think this through, did you?
First, the ship is destroyed. You're suggesting that CCP "create" a ship out of nothing to give to the person popping the ship of the person with the bounty?
Second, what the friggin' heck does an alt popping an alt have to do with the ship he was in?!?!?
Take a step back from the bong, sir. |

Hmm yes, would you not say that a Rookie Ship = 1 ? Who gets the Rookie Ship ?
Confirming the maths does not lie.

And exactly what do you get when you reprocess a rookie ship for profit?
Go ahead and try it, I'll wait...

Um.. I own pilot b and c. Using c, I kill b in a ship with no mods, no rigs. I get ship back plus bounty. Seems to be no xhamge to prevent alt use.
Even if you claim the ship must have mods, I throw cheap mods on, i still the majority of the bounty, plys insurance payed to pilot b that I can transfer to c when I swap the ship back.
Heck, with the right insurance payout, I may even be able to exploit this by throwing a small bounty on b each time I collect, since a kill nets me insurance, bounty, and a free ship. |

There's where the exploit lies... ship insurance.

1. There is no isk payment for the bounty your reward would be the other pilots ship.
2. Insurance will not cover pilots who have bounties placed on them too high risk for the insurance.
3. Yes CCP would have to create a ship for the pilot who fullfilled the bounty.
I think this would work if #3 can be implemented. Signatured removed, CCP Phantom |

Please dont tease me I wish I had my bong right now. Its simple the only confusing part is if multiple pilots hit the pilot with the bounty, who gets the ship? I would say the pilot with the kill shot should recieve the ship or the pilot with the most overall damage..........this would be the at the discretion of the Dev's. Signatured removed, CCP Phantom |

I think part 2 has too much potential for griefing. I could see people purposefully placing 1 isk bounties on newer pilots who don't fully understand game mechanics just to prevent them from ever receiving insurance.
Also, say I do go -5 sec trying the pirate lifestyle. I get a small bounty. I hate being a pirate, grind my sec status up, and you are saying that until I am podded once, I cam never collect insurance? I understand that eve follows the notion of consequences for your actions, but it also allows for redemption. Where is the chance for redemption here? |

That is a valid point. I would say that the bounty price would have similiar costs as a war dec with sec status affecting the bounty cost. Bounty fee=10 mil + additional isk per sec status for a one month bounty with a reacurring fee of say 10 mil for every additional day or moth or whatever. I think this would make the bounty system quite fun. Signatured removed, CCP Phantom |

1.) Risk Free PVP. As long as it is against some friends.
2.) Remember to always place a bounty before you gank. High sec grirefers would love this. Find target. Dock up and place bounty. Collect bounty. |
