Ok, correct me if i am wrong but I was under the impressions that:
The missions your are running will receive a storyline mission for the same corp after 12missions giving a significant standing boost.
Now, I have been running Mining missions for "Wiyrkomi Corporation" semi afk. Yet every storyline mission I am receiving seems to be for "Zainou".
I don't need "Zainou" standing I am grinding "Wiyrkomi" standing because thats the standing I need, so why am I being given "Zainou" storyline missions?
If there are no "Wiyrkomi" storyline mining missions, atleats give me a combat I can run on a alt or distribution, why give me a storyline for a corperation I don't need nor want?
Is this working as intended?

You get storyline missions after 16 missions and no, not for the corp you are missioning for, that wouldn't make sense since you you get the storyline missions after 16 missions of the same kind and level, you can run them for whatever corp you want.

That sucks a little bit,
I would understand the devision being random for a storyline mission, but seems odd it is not for the faction you are doing missions for.
I only need one faction standing so seems a bit silly doing storyline missions for anyone else.. Nevermind, I do them anyway as I dont like to turn storyline missions down.

It is certainly the same faction, just not the same corporation.
You can control the corporation to some extent, just find a storyline agent belonging to that corporation and then run the 16th mission as close to him as possible.

Edited by: Forum Worrier on 05/09/2011 05:22:06 Yeah, I ran into this problem raising standings for my alts R&D corps. Have to have an event agent of the right corp close to your mission agent.
I was basically running courier missions with alt to raise standings while messing around with my main.
What you have to do is find an agent for the corp of the right level and mission type that you want to work for. Then do a search for any event agents of the same corp nearby. If there's one in the same system you're set, however if they're a couple of jumps away and there's an event agent for another corp in the same system you'll always get storylines with him.
I used http://agents.eve-commander.com/ alot to find my agents.
1. Find your mission agent for the right corp in one window. 2. Open another window and set it to show all lvl 1 agents of that corp (this'll show the event agents). 3. Filter the lvl 1 agents by max jumps from your mission agent. This'll show how many are close enough. 4. Then filter the lvl 1 agents to show all corps for that faction to make sure there's not another event agent for a different corp closer to your mission agent. Use the max jumps to lower the results if you get too many.
Only have to do this a couple of times till you've found some good agents with event agents close enough.

Replace event agent in the quoted text with storyline agent or you will start running in circles yelling gibberish.
