Do you deny that the game has a heavy slant to push people into null sec? Why are they wanting to nerf ABC ores? Isn't the choice to stay in WHs and avoid null sec a prerogative of the customer?
Do you deny that WoW pushes you to leave Goldshire, then to leave Redridge, eventually forcing you into whatever the current endgame are is?
Noobs should be pushed to stop being noobs, and highsec was envisioned as a place for noobs to learn. ----------------------------------------------- I don't post on an alt, I post on my forum main! |

First off: Waste of Web is a totally rubbish game. It was only so successful because half the people you meet are below average - WoW was the first MMO to run on almost any machine and could be played by any idiot.
Secondly, High sec and low sec are the areas for newbies to learn. You can argue that it should progress high sec -> low sec -> WH -> null sec Greetings and salutations all who reside here. May your flames be warm and your trolls tasty. |

Originally by: Ephemeron The way CSM election process works, I fear that big alliance leaders get most of the advantages. I am sure someone like Mittani is great at understanding EVE on macro scale - how to improve sov/territory control, how to improve fleet battles. But I doubt people like that understand much about small gang warfare, or even see any value in it. Any decent alliance leader only wants to see people in the fleet ops, not doing anything individually.
People who aren't interested in mega alliance gameplay are unlikely to be elected. While some may consider those type of people to be completely irrelevant in grand scheme of things, I have a strong feeling that those people serve to strengthen foundation of EVE community.
I don't want to play a game where you are either a "Leader" or a worthless drone, with your value being measured by quantity not quality.
If you actually pay attention to the various interviews/blogs/discussions with the CSM, you will realize that they have formed smaller groups within the CSM to address the different issues. Mittens and his initiatives are getting the most attention because he is chairman, he is VERY vocal about it, and he is a Goon, so him having so much power, and a direct connection to CCP Sreegs(who used to be Darius Johnson, CEO of the goons before Mittens) has people tinfoil hatting.
Also, if you have a problem with the current CSM, you should have voted. I did, with all my accounts, and am quite happy with my representation. ----------------------------------------------- I don't post on an alt, I post on my forum main! |

I use Wow as the example because everyone knows it, and despite the garbage to come from it, it DOES demonstrate alot of solid gameplay design principles.
And as to your second point, thats exactly what I am saying, tho imo WH space and lowsec are interchangeable. Highsec is for getting started(or re-started if things goes bad) ----------------------------------------------- I don't post on an alt, I post on my forum main! |

So wait...
Alexander 'The Mittani' Gianturco wants to rage a PR war against CCP to try and get CCP to restructure their development process in order to appease the players and you guys want him impeached cause he's a Goon?
Great logic.

I really don't get why so many players are so weird about goons. Really, really, really weird about them.

Mittens only stands out but the concern is that only big alliance interests are being represented due to voting power. Not remove just get more cross the game representation in next vote.
Weird about Goons? Largest alliance, CSM and staff? Conflicts of interest and such? Greetings and salutations all who reside here. May your flames be warm and your trolls tasty. |
