Hey, I've been playing Eve for about a year now, but I'm mainly a miner, I've never fought in the game at all. When I was a noob i attacked concorde a few times giving me a neg security rating, so i wanna fix that. Can anyone give me a good frig setup to take out easy npc rats with? Money is not an option, I'd prefer to use missiles as well cause i think they are cool lol...but yea i can use any frig or gallente crusier so any help setting one up with wep names and stuff would be great! Thanks in advance!

For easy npc rats?
If you prefer missiles then Kestrel is a good choice. You might also want to take a look at Breacher. It has 3 missile launcher and a turret and is a bit faster and lighter than kestrel. __________ Capacitor research |

Not quite a setup, but you could look at the skill `fast talk', if you are into social skills.

The fastest way of getting security status up to a managable level is to kill a 500k standard battleship rat per 10 minutes. The trick is to find a neat system (0.0) and a managable spawn. There's a little trick to it, but remember that the spawns move around in the system, so just keep scanning after it (and don't kill the entire spawn). Also, don't kill anything more... bountyful... than a 500k rat while increasing sec status. Though, if you cannot use a battleship by now, it's going to be rather hard to do this.
This kind of sec status increasing can be done in groups. Each individual who hit the 500k rat for damage will get a good sec status increase for that 10 minute period --
If TC causes you discomfort that you feel is unwarranted or may be outside TC's current contract - contact me, please. |

what does this mean? if your meaning money is not a problem, then train (as most above me posted) for a bs, get in 0.0.
if you do not have money, forget your sec standing, hunting in 0.0 is the only way to boost it, or running lvl 4 missions, but i dont see you do those in a frig/cruiser.

yes, it was the 750ks that gave the infamous 0.4% standing increase that we love so much... i 'it was' passively because i believe this has been fixed i think it is a dodgey 0.1875% increase or something like that now anyone know for certain if it has been fixed or not...?

another option if u want good speed and weapons. try the rifter. it has 4 high slots which can hold 2 launchers, 2 turrets, and for the speed try a 1mn mwd and 2 overdrives. this combination will allow the ship to travel at 3KM/S i used this set up for deadspace lvl 1 zones with no probs

Apart from the minor overlooking of MWD not working in deadspace ;)
Kestrels are the way to go for missile frigates and are good to learn in. For serious moneymaking from combat however you need either a battleship or a battlecruiser with very very good tanking skills. Ferox is probably the best BC to go for if and when you do if you have low skills because you can njust stick 5 heavy launchers on it until you can use better weapons. Battleships are down to personal taste however :)
