I actually think EVE is going down the pan and the sky is really falling.
More and more chars sold in Auction and mainly bought up by the same few people who already have 2 or 3 accounts.
Less and less people in 0.0 with everyone just running agent missions in Rens.

I see the average number of players in game is 8000 according to the log in counter but Im sure thats lies.
And even if true its probably only 2000 players all playing 4 chars.
Everyone I speak to from 0.0 space says its less populated than ever and more boring than ever. No big alliances anymore and no big fleet fights (Im talking like the 350 pilot ones from old CA days).
EVE is dieing ...... and instead of focusing on adding content, CCP decide whats needed is to totally overhaul the entire game mechanics again

Also, many of the features the devs have promised with Shiva are not in game yet >> no trust >> people are leaving
POS's is a joke. Why need to set them up, search for "good" moons, do logistics, etc. when you can do some missions and get already made construction components? No need >> POS's are fubared >> main feature of Shiva doesn't work >> people are leaving
We need content, and we need is ASAP, otherwise the downfall will become to big to be able to climb up again...

And what did you expected? Average lvl 4 income with Tier 2 BS is around 40-50mil a day. I think CCP really need to make 0.0 best for funding, but also most risky. CCP should start to support alliances, not with un-killed-able-wtf-owned-POS, with normal stuff. Maybe get NPC bounties higher, or something to make people want to live in 0.0, but make it dangerous. So those who will live in 0.0 will deserve it.

The simple answer to this thread is no, it isnt the beginning of the end. SE have plenty of people loyal to the cause, always have, and probably always will.
Even when it looked like they were under real pressure from C4 (OC, Zoners, BSC 7cav) they pulled through.
(i like to think its cos us who used to be in C4 left the esoteria region, but i'm sure SA will say otherwise :p ) Unless something dramatic happens I cant see them collapsing (unless they do a CA and split internally)
