I dont know if this has been answered so I'm curious. Will all of the DUST gear be crafted by EVE and DUST players, or will DUST gear be NPC seeded and create an ISK drain to counteract the faucet problem people are so very commonly talking about?
while the opportunity to make ISK selling massive quantities of **** to DUST players appeals... DUST could also be used to drain some of the ballooning ISK injections if it's successful, with CCP enabling player construction after some of the free-roaming ISK flushes.
Just curious about peoples' thoughts on the idea. Of course, this idea only works if DUST catches on, and if EVE corps start picking up the infantry merc contracts to get their resources from the planet. |

There are still a lot of unknowns as regards many aspects of DUST 514 and we have to be careful what we say with the NDA still on. There will be industry and 'crafting' but nothing has really been said about the specifics. I think ISK will be able to be transfered between DUST & EVE but Aurum probably will not be transferable. I get the feeling there will not be as much ISK generated within DUST 514 as there is within EVE Online so I don't think there will be 'ISK faucet' type problems in DUST 514.
I don't think I can say much more as I'm reluctant to get into trouble. |

Something that was in a podcast was that:
Eve players won't make the individual 'things'. But they'll make the feedstock for the nanites that are used to make all the stuff the mercs need.
Possibly also things like the MCCs when out in null.
Mostly this'll affect it when it hits null, I suspect. FuzzWork Enterprises http://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/ Blueprint calculator, invention chance calculator, isk/m3 Ore chart-á and other 'useful' utilities. |

They've still be quite vague and guarded about even DUST specific Industry right now, it certainly isn't implimented. As I understand it, Rare and Exotic Implants will come from EVE (Wormhole Stations) which they showed off some prototype footage in Russia a few months back ... concept looked interesting, but not sure I like the pure Player vs Environment (no enemies).
Ends up being like a Crystal Maze style "Grab what you can before you die" situation, rather than some well thought out puzzle & combat stuff. Still early stages I guess, hopefully someone will kinda take the reigns on that who likes games like Unchartered, Gears or Tomb Raider (which seem the most apt to explain it)
As for other aspects, chances are we'll be supplying Materials and possibly Vehicles (but I doubt it). Where-as the more day-to-day stuff will be exclusively created within DUST.
Only reason I'm assuming this is because ISK-wise right now, Vehicles frankly are the only thing that make sense as everything else would be so cheap that they would end up built in considerable bulk and still not provide profit margins any EVE player will care about even those new to the game.
I would say there is more chance that DUST players will actually see a greater industrial pursuit creating items and selling them to EVE Players. That to me makes considerably more sense from a Financial Standpoint.
In-fact personally I would recommend that instead of "Moon Goo" going to Asteroid Belts, which sure they could have some materials... a better thing might be for DUST Players to mine them on Planets, or rather a Planetry Equivilant.
They'd never be able to output large quantities but something that could be refined or reacted, definately would help solidify both economies to where they CAN work apart; but together is better for both. |

ccp nothin (economist for dust) has already confirmed in an interview somewhere that dust will start with an NPC market, until they know how much stuff needs to be produced (how many people will actually play the game, how often, with what kind of equipment...) they will then start giving out BPOs to players in small quantities to compede with the NPCs and in the long run, to take over the economy entirely
the final goal is that the new eden economy works as a whole thing with the eve and dust economy both depending on materials, installtations or professions that can only be found in one of the two games. soloable, but with benefits in cooperation(s) |

Maybe eve players will sell dust players materials, who will then use those materials to make stuff? basically eve players will be the miners. |

Actually as this is so far off they don't have any details yet, however two things they are looking at:
1) Players are able to kill each other on the same team, possibly even having two teams in the same ruins racing for the goal (also able to kill each other)
2) Having someone be able to attack you/your ship while you're docked up. |

NDA or not -- and yes, I fully realize the legal necessities, and that various corporate entities will get their panties in a twist, etc., etc.,
-- BUT .......it's this kind of LACK of information that is really hurting enthusiasm for the game.
Time for the "Powers That Be" to start coughing up some solid facts so a wider community of potential players can get onboard.
Seriously, loosen it up.

I would also suggest being able to tackle large enemy ships in the depths of space, and then bring in a Dust mercenary team to siege it, POD-kill the captain in ship, and then make off with the vessel. This would be an amazing, amazing twist on game play.
EVE players should be able to support their Dust514 alts, IMO, but their does ned to be some controls, as, well, our established economy completely flooding and overwhelming their financial ecosystem would be BAD. |

Infantry gear is on the EVE markets right now from NPC vendors. A Grimsnes dropship will set you back 220,000 ISK.
I see no sign of blueprints. |
