How's this baby with RMR?
I'm loving my enyo (still) but I wouldn't mind some options for pvp.

Better than before, with light and med drones doing more damage, new drone skills, and better drone bay overall (5 medium drones before, now 4 which will do as much damage as 8 with DI skill maxed + drone damage increased). No doubt it's now the best AF in game imho.

Would it still work with a plate on it? Also, I'm wondering if I want to split the high slots between light ions and e5's or just go with all of one or the other.

Well, one of the best. Harpy is still much, much better at range, Ishkur is close-range in almost all pvp configurations. While range doesn't matter that much in sisi 1-on-1's, it matters a lot in group pvp.
But yeah, Ishkur is a very nice AF. Enyo is still better at pve imho, but for pvp Ishkur shines.

I find the Ishkur works well even npcing. Just wait till all targets have locked and fired at you before releasing any drones, I have not lost one since doing that.
And drones with decent skills do good dps by themselves, add in your 3 guns and it rocks. And you use less ammo compared to enyo.. less guns + drones - so good for longer npcing sessions ;)

Her's a hint for the fitting's whith a leftover high slott..
trow in a ofline remote armor repair!
when in 0.0 regions without npc stations, it can often be a pain in the arse to get repairs....
an other good thing with the remote armor repair, is that you can repair your dare drones, after fights where its needed.

Odd thread to ask about drone skills. But basically you need Gallente Drone Specialization to use tech II versions of Gallente drones - which means Hobgoblin II, Hammerhead II and Ogre II.

The best setup for pve or 0.0 ratting in an ishkur is as follows. You will need some skills at least advanced weapon upgrades 3 t2 guns and drones.
High 3x 150mm t2(spike), 1 drone link augmentor
1x f-90 positional sensor, 1x cold gas arcjet, 1x cap recharger2
1x t2 sm armor rep, 1xt2 explosive(or primary damage if no explosive expected), 1x true sansh adaptive plating
If you are fighting alot of fast frigs you can swap out the cap recharger for a stasis web and the t2 hardner for an n-type
This setup( with web) will squeeze every drop of power out of the ishkurs cpu and grid 193/193 and 52/52
Range 90+km, Drone range 70km, optimal gun range 50+ km
resists 69,68,88,78

This may seem like a totally stupid question, but I noticed some people talking as if they can use more than 5 drones at once on this great little assualt frig - how is this possible?
I thought you could only do this on drone carriers?

Did you by chance notice the date of the original post, or for that matter that of the post before yours?
That's why. Drone ships now have a damage bonus, they used to have +1 Drone Controlled per level. And the max number of drones was 10 for each ship. (5 for Drones V and 5 for Drone Interfacing V) Add to that the 5 for Ship Cmd V and you get 15 drones.
Which, before you scream nerf, did exactly the same damage your current 5 do.

I was waiting for someone to mention those drone augmentors! it just made so much sense when i was looking at it. So, the ishkur makes a great kiting ship for pve, but is it fast enough with a AB to outrun the frigates in L4 missions?
Also, i noted that theres other upgrades like the omnidirectional and navigation computer. Both of which sound like they would improve the drones damage against small fast targets. This probably isnt nessicary for light drones...but using 5 medium hammer II sounds like superior damage.
so, are either of those modules practical for medium drones? Especially the navigation computer, if your drone controll range is so large, isnt it beneficial for them to be faster for medium drones?

This setup any frig that gets in range is toast as they will not be able to get away or keep fireing on you...your drones are your only offensive power so I like to run a mix of all 4 damage types for the small drones. Sometimes Ill run 5 medium drones just to changes things up a little.
If you wanted to change this I would add 1 blaster or a 75mm rail (i love these as they track faster than larger rails and have a high rof and good range (about 6k)) to the highs. Since drones wont attack pods this may be a good option to have.
I have taken out 2 ceptors at one time with this setup. While I pounded the **** out of the first with my drones the second one was not able to hurt my tank enough before I turned my attention to him.
This setup works in a support role...as in supporting your drones.
That is the setup I use for Solo PVP - using all T2 modules except for
the scram and Webber
Drones are T2 Lights and T2 Meds
3 Acolyte II's
2 Hammerhead II's or Valkyrie II's
also works well for solo PVE in o.o
It's just a game........Or is it?????

You fail to notice that this thread is also referred in the sticky for ship setups and it's good to have setups flowing in this one since many changes have occurred since it was created. So reading before posting is good mmmkay?

Ishkur is a very very good AF and personally i like it a little more than Enyo.
Setup vary but one i used so far in PvE (and i am pretty sure it works for PvP gangs too)
Highs
----
2x Ion blasters t2 (or 2x125 t2 )
2xsmall Knave
Mediums
----
1x Gold gas Arcjets (or AB t2) (get 560 with gold gas)
1x Webber (can ditch it with for a scrambler guns hit with AB on and no web on target)
1x Omnidirectional link
Lows
----
1xSAR II
1x Explosive membrane
1x EANM (or better DCU)
Drone bay (which according to what i see on my Ishkur it can reach 40 tops and that is 4 mediums or)
3xWarriors II
3xHobgoblins II
1xAcolyte II
Or any other variation of small drones you like.
