I am offering my services in coming up with and advising on fits, setups, strategies, and possibly even flying in the upcoming own3d tournament. To avoid conflicts of interest, I will only be working with one team.

If no one "hires" you, you should offer your services for free to a community team like RvB, EUni or the like, for example.

- I can't see anyone as a "community team" in a construct-your-own-team tournament. It's not like they're going to give their winnings to "the community". Maybe if they pledged to donate it all to charity...
- I wasn't asked by them to help - I don't feel comfortable pushing myself on anyone.
- I think it would be much funnier if I revealed a bunch of secrets, tricks and good setups for everyone to use. Bonus points if two teams fight with both using a setup I provided.

I agree with you on those points, I just thought I'd put out a suggestion in case it was something you hadn't considered. Regardless, I hope you find a team to participate with, either from behind the scenes or not - I think this tournament's format looks fun (beyond the cash prizes and the separation from traditional ATs) and it would be a blast to compete against you.

That's real comedy coming from Raiden, considering I didn't even have to come up with a setup to beat you. We just used our standard roaming format. |

tbh faffy, i had u down as more intelligent. Trying to sell this kind of service won't work. Teams will do what THEY think is right, which is what keeps the tourny fresh, Any good team competing will already have setups prepared anyway. This is almost like saying. "Give me 250mil and I'll show u my guide to scamming".
That said, good luck finding someone to take up the offer, if they do, they get a good theorycrafter.

Of course teams will do what they think is right, which isn't necessarily going to be what I advise them. But I have setups and tricks which are clearly very good, and even some of the good teams don't know them. A mediocre team that hires me will almost always benefit using my advice. Some of the tricks can be used to improve nearly any setup.
At this point I'm half hoping nobody pays me so I can post them and watch the ensuing hilarity :-) |

Why not just save them for Darkside nxt AT, and bring us a good show. Instead of the usual meta crap. We set some good and strange setups in AT X that really got the creativity flowing. |

Two reasons. One is that a few DarkSide members that know these tricks are going to participate in this tournament in a non-DarkSide team, so there's a high likelihood they will become known anyway (and I want the credit, because I invented them). Another is that things are going to change significantly after the winter patch (and probably another patch after that before the next AT), so not everything will still be applicable. |

I guess you are just going to have to hunker down and release your super secret tricks and setups upon the EVE tournament community and hope for the best. Weathering the storm of chaos as the best teams fall one by one to unbeatable setups, loosing matches before they have even begun in ways they are incapable of comprehending.

Dont get me wrong, we really did want to hire you, unfortunately we just couldn't figure out a time that would work for us to have you come speak to us. This weekend we had Shrike speaking to our titan pilots, giving his advice on how to get out of a dangerous spot, next weekend we have Garmon speaking about metagaming ethics, the weekend after that, Makaulu is giving us an FC lesson, and finally, the Mittani still needs to come by and peer review our alliance panel power points for next fanfest!
As you can see, were totally swamped for bad advice over the next month! |

Why would someone take the advice from a team that has been in AT for years and have yet to win it, just goes to show how scrubby 95% of the Alliances are...the only real threat this year was PL and supposedly DS, turned out to be just PL. |
