I`m a drone carrier, i use a vexor with 13 drones for my lvl 1/2 missions.
when i`m sent on these missions, i have no problem when the mass drones attack other ships, but when they start attacking structures (in deadspace) my screen freezes on for 1 sec, and off for 1 sec
i took a screeny, showing the fps counter, Look at this! anyone else having these sort of issues with drones vs structures?

notice on the FPS counter, it goes up, peaks and drops to zero, rises, peaks then drops to zero, over and over.
I play with sound turned off to maximise FPS and never have problems when my drones fight ships, etc.only structures

I've noticed the same thing in the Ishkur.
The lag happens when the drones shoot. Since they all do so at the same time, the screen freezes for a bit.

Same problem here. Doesn't seem to be specific to any single ship.

Had the same problem but it occured when i fired cruise or torps and when they made impact on the target. |

Hi,
I also had that problem. Deleting my cache folder solved it completely. You should try that. (Rename it, don't blow it away. Copy over your settings if necessary.)

Clear cache.
Might help if you post your video card. I know my nVidia 6600GT has run into similar problems before when I wasn't running AA (ironic, I know). I put it up to 4x AA and the problems vanished (reappears if I use 8xQ). It also tends to happen if you use Windows Media Player (not minimized) for music while you're running EVE fullscreen.

i`m running a radeon 9600 pro, downloading 5.3 catalysts at the moment, i`ll try the latest drives though before clearing cache.

I tryed complex with my ishtar, no lag or anything when the drones start attacking the structures

It may be station assault lag manifesting again.
There was a lovely bug where if you attacked a station, it generated tremendous lag, and some of the deadspace structures are large enough to fall into the Station catagory. Some of them aren't, however, and don't cause lag when attacked.
My guess is you've been getting missions with the large structures, for the most part. If your drones shoot at those (and they love to), you get station assault lag. You just have to keep your drones on a short lease, that's all.
