Hey
I want to go mining in 0.0 with my dominix. I no that that there are often dual 1mil BS spawns in the system i want to mine in. Can 11heavy drones kill a BS? I need a setup that will allow me 2 sit and mine whilst my drones kill....

2/3 rechargers, 1 web (for ceptors) and 1 roid canner
1 med t2, 1 large rep. 3 hards, 1 WCS or relay

Best is to find a cruiser spawn and chain it so the large NPC dont spawn.
with 11 H drones you can easyly chain a cruiser spawn and they not that hard to tank

I preffered ninja mining in my dominix when I used it fr mining. Found a system with lots of belts so I could choose some without spawns. Usually had to have to mine in 2 different belts and alternate between them. You have to use very big belts and know how t move spawns to other side of them so you can use your hauler to pick up ores even when there are spawns in belt. (you got like 20 sec to do it if I remember right)
4 warp core stabs and a little tank in low slots and 6 miner IIs. Then 12+ harvester mining drones. Be sure to sit almost on top of roid so you can get drones back before any spawn can start shoting at them. If you can use 15 harvesters you can mine twice as fast as you do with only miners.
It is a little more work and takes a bit more time. But with doubble the rewards it is worth it.

Just in case you don't know. "Chaining" a spawn means that you kill everything except for one frig or cruiser. Preferably leave something alive that can't warp scramble you. Just tank it's damage while you mine. After a while the ships you killed will respawn and you can kill them again. This prevents a tough bs from spawning while you are mining.

aye, that sounds like a good idea
Im sure that a large and t2 med is enough to tank anthing, along with 2 relays and 3 cap rechargers... =] ill do maths l8r
Hmm I prefer the idea of just chaining a crusier spawn. I no at some belts (thers are like 30 of them in 1system) there are jsut 3 cruisers... jsut tank 1 and kil 2 :) tat saves me from the evil BS =]

Best way is to find a small cruiser spawn, and tank all their damage. If your skills are good enough, and the spawn is small enough, you should be able to keep your tank going indefinately while running all 6 mining lasers. You can go for hours and hours like this, since they won't leave while you're still alive, and the spawn won't change as long as they are there.

I used 2 large acco's and 2 hardners, the rest I loaded out with the best cap rechangers/relays I could find
worked great and it can tank a ****load of rats
offcourse, bring a combo of all drone types, just use heavy's to kill the BS's use mediums for all the others
