Now that we have the old ship-spinning hangar view back, that lets us get a good look at our ships no matter what size they are, can we move the ships in the Captain's Quarters view back to their realistic positions? I know we're still some way off getting a true sense of scale relative to the player, but I think it's high time we at least made sure the ships were in scale relative to each other. The current system of placing them at a distance from the balcony relative to their size robs us of a sense of just how large these things are. Can we have ships placed in the same location they are in the normal spinny hangar view? Andreus Anthony LeHane Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor Media Consultant, Voyeur Studios |

Lord Helghast wrote:The problem with this was that there was no relational items to relate the size of the ship... if they do this as was hoped for in the past they would need to have something like shuttles going to and from the ship, or something like that so our eyes can tell the size of the ships
I'm more talking maintaining a sense of scale of ships relative to each other. Right now, a Tengu will take up roughly the same amount of screen space from the perspective of your balcony as a Nidhoggur does, despite the Nidhoggur being nearly eight times as long as the Tengu and about three or four times taller and wider. Problems could probably be solved somewhat by shifting the actual position of the CQ in at least the Gallente and Amarr stations closer to where your ship normally appears on the landing pad. Andreus Anthony LeHane Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor Media Consultant, Voyeur Studios |

The actual location of the Gallente CQ when you look at the accompanying hangar is... in the middle of a massive void of empty space. It would make much more sense to have it in that upside-down cross shaped thingy above the gantry attaching the pad to the central column.
