Edited by: Vicker Lahn''se on 20/03/2005 03:12:58 I recently noticed some spots on my Cyclone that look like there should be a gun there, but there isn't. Even when it's fully outfitted with all five turret slots filled, there are still two spots that look empty. You can see these empty spots in the two pictures below:

Was the original plan to have battlecruisers with seven turret slots? Destroyers have seven light turret slots, so why shouldn't battlecrusiers have that many? As it stands, I think destroyers are a lot more useful than battlecruisers.

They certainly need it, yes, (all BC, that is, not just the Cyclone) regardless of whether they were originally supposed to have one. And I just realised, the Cyclone looks cool. ---------------- Haha, stupid monkey! Now I'VE got the Oscar! Enjoy your worthless gun! |

Reasons for hidden slots on Model:
1)To have the option of tune it (read: nerf/boost) If there were no slots left on the model, they would have to put the weapons on some odd locations (hint: malediction)
2)Tech 2 Ships have more. More grid, more hitpoints, and you guessed it right, more turrets. The Tech 1 Model can be used for Tech 2 this way and comes with spare slots to play with.

and battlecruisers are great. a stepup from cruisers and a step down from battleships, they do their job.
destroyers are near useless. good dot, but they're shield/armor makes them useless in anything.. even pve. though they're a lot of fun! ________

BCs have 7 hi-slots. On my prophecy I run 6 med. laser turrets and 1 heavy missile and on ferox 4 medium hybrids, 3 heavy missile launchers. And I know the cyclone has 7 weapon slots too, just forgot what I used on it. And BCs are great, I killed a gankageddon with my prophecy orbiting him at 2.5km while I had him webbed and scrambled. They are great ships with the right setup and tactics.

Now that I bothered to look, it does seem that the Amarrian and Gallente BCs have more slots than the Minmatar one. I don't see how this is fair... I think they should give the Cyclone back the other two turret hardpoints that it was originaly supposed to have when they designed the model.

I believe the extra Ferox turret points would go just above the ones hanging down under the front of the ship. ________________________________________________ Stop Whining!!!

If u are refering to total slots, then all BC have 16. If u are refering to turret slots, then I take it that u don't consider the 5 turrets and 3 launchers, that fill the 8 highs, to be good enough.
Prophecy 7 high slots, 6 turrets, 1 launcher Brutix 7 high slots, 7 turrets Ferox 7 high slots, 5 turrets, 5 launchers Cyclone, 8 high slots, 5 turrets, 3 launchers
looks pretty good to me
