I was wondering why all the isotope prices are falling, I know the changes to the mining ships have meant that you can afk mine even longer, could that be the reason more people are doing it? I thought a bunch of bots just got kicked so real people are mining more. Just looking for some insight. Thank you |

Isotope prices are falling because of that guy and people like him. You can multibox 70 ships without even botting because the asteroids are infinite and don't pop. If all those ships were in a group, couldn't you just warp a fleet of disco BS's into them & take them all out? R.I.P. Vile Rat |

I'm just glad he has a soft spot for Amarr Ice. It's the only one I use and I'd really rather not have to mine it myself. |

thank you for the interest on the topic but does not help me. All four isotope prices have dropped and I doubt one person could mine enough ice to effect all four ice products. Secondly corestwo your comments on the person who mittani told to kill himself does you no honor. It was wrong to be said. |

You're missing my point - not really a surprise, in hindsight. My point was not that one person, even one person with such a large fleet, was mining that ice. My point was that it's possible at all, and that he's not the only one. Regular asteroids would vanish in just a cycle or two if you pointed that many miners at them - you'd have to spread them out and it would quickly defy the ability of one person to feasibly control. Even when spread out, a fleet like that would strip a belt clean very quickly. Not so with ice - ice asteroids do not deplete, so you can point as many miners at it as you want.
To put it into not entirely accurate terms that should nonetheless be easy for you to understand, isotopes are dropping in price because their supply is infinite.
Oh and the fact that you're so butthurt for the poor guy amuses me. I don't remember his name at all, but "the dude mittens told to off himself" is an identifier everyone knows, and was necessary to explain why I haven't already blown the blight upon space that his mining fleet represents out of space. No need to get your panties in a twist over it This post was crafted by a member of the GoonSwarm Federation Economic Cabal, the foremost authority on Eve: Online economics and gameplay.

Ice has always been infinite, there has not been a recent change that has affected the supply, granted with the new changes to mining ships storage for ore/ice, I could see that more people might be mining or using multiple toons to mine ice. But I was suspecting maybe market manipulation, it would seem market manipulation would be correct as the prices of oxygen and nitrogen are moving quickly. Anyways thank you for your insight.
As to me being "butthurt," I am not offended because the previous statement was not directed at me but the said person mittani told to off himself, I was merely observing that your comment is tasteless and does you no honor to support that kind of behavior. Even your leader submitted an apology and admitted that he was wrong. |

How about a history lesson?
http://i.imgur.com/Mpvez.png
Biggest significant difference is that the other isotopes didn't see nearly as big a bump from interdiction (if at all) as they weren't targeted, only speculated on. Barge buff in August marked the official end to Hulkageddon, and if an official, CCP endorsed declaration that mining was finally 'safe' isn't a "recent change that has affected the supply" then I don't know what is.
The takeaway here should be that the recent fall in price wasn't a manipulation or anything - it was a return towards the old normal. Their recent rise, on the other hand... ...I still don't see how explaining why I cannot personally go smartbomb the guys mackinaws as suggested is tasteless. Does the frank admission for what it was offend you? Should I use more touchy-feely dance-around-the-issue language in the future?
I don't think you understand that the barge buff still won't stop people from blowing your **** sky high, a handful of catalysts is still cheaper than your orca or mackinaw and accomplishes the same goal. Nothing is essetially "safe" in this game. Stop being a dumb pubbie. |

I want you to go blow that person up, I benefit from higher prices in the isotope market and I am not an ice miner, So please do go and blow up the person. I love hulkaggedon, I have no problem with suicide ganking miners. I just was mentioning that supporting mittani's bully mentality does you no honor. Once agian I appreciate your insight and graph on isotope prices. |

Awwwwww, you're cute, look at the pubbie calling people pubbies.
Maybe miniluv's campaign will convince people of this but until then and ganking will pick back up. Maybe it won't, since "cheaper than" and "profitable" are two different things and to people who aren't miniluv that might matter. Point is that for now, people feel safe, thus 70mackinawsmining.jpg This post was crafted by a member of the GoonSwarm Federation Economic Cabal, the foremost authority on Eve: Online economics and gameplay.

It's profitability is what separates the pin-pricks of a handful of Don Quixotes with a empire-wide miner holocaust.
It's sad CCP didn't increase the mining yield thus rewarding the smart miners that were adapting, instead of buffing hitpoints for the stupid miners whining.
