As I had the chance of having two 24" Widescreen TFTs Displays on my desktop, I couldn't stand to try out, how EVE on multiscreen would be like....
and here we go, EVE in a resolution of 3840*1200 pixels:
first some photos of the desk: a Covetor an apoc a plain Windoze desktop
and at last, a screenshot of an apoc at that resolution... Linkage
too bad that only one of those babys is actually mine

actually, for their size the've been quite cheap...
dell shells them out for 1000 Euro (including the german VAT, so yours might be even lower, depending on location) these days, but if you call them instead of ordering online, you're likely to be able to get the guy on the phone down a few 100 euro (I saved like 200 this way).
It's still a lot of money, tho, and those baby emptied my computer investment budget completely for at least a year. The second one is actually a replacement I got because the first one had some issues.

Some of the guys around here like Eve running vertically at 1200x1920, although I prefer horizontal. Of course, running two vertically would be another interesting option. The picture in picture feature is interesting, although I couldn't work out how to get it running two images horizontally while the monitor is vertical. Switching down to smaller than native resolutions by only using part of the screen is nice too.

that's an idea.... let me try something out....
too bad, the nvidia driver doesn't let you rotate the picture unless you use Dual View, which is basically 2 different controlled displays and doesn't let you span a full screen app over both monitors at once. So no EVE in 2400*1920 at all, unless you use some sort of special stand to get those two directly above each other for a 1920*2400 resolution....

Do yourself a favor, forget Alienware. Have it custom built by someone you know. It'll be faster and cheaper.

When I win the lottery in the US......
Multi-configuration monitors
I'll settle for a 2 or 3 across, as long as I can get it with 1200 vertical resolution.

I'm not after getting it quickly, and the cash... Well, from what I hear - Alienware is the best by a large margin. --------

ok, why bother spending huge wads of notes on multi monitors with multi screen issues when you can blow a grand on a really good projector and can get something crazy like 120"
Someone in an ex corp of mine posted screenies of eve on a 120" widescreen.
now THAT is wood inspiring....

Resolution on projection is crappy though. Multiple screens give a far better picture. --------

That site has been floating around for a while and their store has been closed for at least the last 9 months. Doing a quick Google for the company name does turn up a few "this is a hoax site" returns, something that does not bode well for the company.
