Did anyone else catch this? I thought it was very well done and a great look into what Dust is. Explains things very well to those who don't know what it's all about yet.

I can read "creodron" on the weapon of one of the drones, maybe we will be able to deploy them |

I believe those are the rogue drone NPCs, Creo Dreon is written on the blast shield of the shotgun mounted on the drone in question. |

Maybe they'll be a corporation mission where you have to clear them out for colonisation??? Only 40 rounds per gun... I hate reloading in the middle! |

I think they are going to be the offline, single-player PVE / online co-op PVE mode for DUST
edit: although having them on uncolonized worlds would be cool too |

I think they'll be like the horde mode of Gears of War, one map with drones appearing in waves, the players job would be defend a colony or particular station from an invading rogue drone hive.
I don't think there would be any offline single player PVE at all, that would defeat the whole point of Dust 514.

Maybe this is a conquered land, beyond which You can go out and there are drones, which are not appropriate to the base and there we have to destroy them. |

Most interesting parts of this video:
1) Dust "captain quarters" are identical to EVE captain quarters - apparently made by the same design team;
2) common station hall @ 1:30 with operation map, shop - apparently made by the same team as captain quarters.
I bet this common station hall will be implemented in EVE and pilots will be able to meet infantry (and each other) "in person". I hope it will happen either in spring or summer 2013. |

They've already got an Infantry list in the chat window of the main game, so I wouldn't be surprised if the chat channels were linked in the very near future.

The Merc quarters are similar in design, but not exactly the same. The common station hall as you call it is just an operation centre on the war barge before a battle.
As cool as it would be to meet DUST mercs face to face, don't expect that happening any time soon, there's a lot more pressing stuff to implement first |

You have predicted correct - bet you -ú100!!
I think that the are orbital stations on most planets that ships can dock at and dust players can elevate (lifts) up to where interaction between the two will happen. Unfortunately this mean zero fighting or anything else as it is the same at the moment as captains quarters.
I wonder has anyone looked through the files of the captains quarters to see if there are any other animations included that might give us a clue how it might develop in the future?
