Many years ago (probably 2007, possibly before), during one of the expansion upgrades (or some other prolonged downtime), CCP mentioned/linked to an amusing "web-based" version of EVE. I don't remember too many of the details -- just that there was some basic descriptive text and some really awful low-quality screenshot of space and that was it. Nothing was clickable, except for maybe the first page? Been a long time...
Does anyone remember this and know where I can find it today? :-) I'd be thrilled if there are still folks at CCP that remember this...
I'm not 100% certain but I think it was hosted somewhere else, i.e. not at CCP.

Might have been Apocrypha, but for whatever reason I keep thinking it's older than that. Then again working graveyard shift for over 6 years really screws with one's memory...
I've tried Googling everything I can think of (eve web client, eve web version, eve web game, etc.) but there's just too much cruft.
Footnote: if I remember right Apocrypha was when CCP decided to do away with the "Classic" client and required everyone to have newer hardware...? I was one of the few who *had* newer hardware but preferred to use the Classic client because I was used to the way it looked and the responsiveness / FPS rate was significantly better. But that's neither here nor there.
