At my current level agent in Oursulaert
This often happens
Now this is very annoying if you see what im getting at, Currently im running on a 2 Mb connection and getting v.v.v.v.v.v. lagged.
Might it be an idea to move some agents or something....
B4 someone tells me to move to low sec and start agenting there I would but I have 282k Lp with this agent and I build and sell my tech 2 products out of this system so no
So the question is Was this planned by ccp or an oversight and another thing thats on the ever grwoing list of things that needs to be fixed
Magnet41 > i kill people ingame because i would take a bigger sec if i killed them in rl |

Yep... my lvl 4 is in Ours too... the 200+ mark usially comes every night after 5:00pm Eve time. The only way people are going to move is if there something more lucritive that level 4 agents... then we'll have the same problem where ever that happens to be located.
Top marks to the boffins who thought "Since people wont goto 0.0 cause of ganking, we'll put level 4 agents in empire.. and then we'll lag them in 0.0 ".

Your connection has nothing to do with it, its the server that prolly cant handle that much activity in the system. Especially if half of those locals are running missions ---------------------------

Mission agents realy need to be spread out, instead of keeping them in a few key systems, Rens has to be the worst system in eve for this, i counted 1 person undocking ever 1.5 seconds once (at one station)
Rise of Valhalla is now recruiting. We are looking for players of any level of experience. Please contact me or SSJ2VEGETA |

For the record:
Mission agents ARE well spread out.
Including kill agents.
Its just that most people choose the same agent, and probably for similar reasons.
When level 4 agents became available, like many, I went to Rens. Later I moved, and future agents were picked with a priority of them NOT being over crowded systems.

LPs should be to the corp and not the agent... that way your not stuck in a system becouse you have 200k lp...

Just look at the map, and you can see the hottest spots in the galaxy. I think I counted over 25,000 kills of faction ships (NPCs) in Rens the other night, and over 30,000 in a system the other side of Empire Space. It seems highly ineffecient to have such a concentration of people right in the middle of Empire during a so-called Exodus. Surely it's not that hard to pay a little attention when placing new agents to have them spread out towards the borders more? __________________ Interstellar joy-rider |

As stated before
Agents ARE well spread out.
But most folks use similar criteria for choosing which agent to run with.
For folks in Rens, it is NOT because the Brutor Treasury Lv 4 agent is great (he is not), its because many of those folks used the Lv3 Q19 agent there prior to Exodus and/or they used the Brutor Treasury as the "easy" place to earn some standing with a corp (bunch of agents of all levels in one base).
Unless you are saying "ALL BASES MUST HAVE IDENTICAL AGENTS!!!", then places like Rens should exist. I do not feel all bases should be the same.
Again, the agents are ALREADY well spread out. Folks just tend to choose similar systems for similar reasons.

Edited by: Lygos on 04/04/2005 06:39:34 Indeed, LP credit and research points should be to the npc corporation.
I wonder if PC corps could one day issue LP rewards along with being able to scribble customized missions? It would have to be from a library of products of course. Special below-market treatment for loyal clients of course.

You don't need that ATI Taskbar tools loaded and you can certainly turn off the 2 services that ATI load with their drivers (unless you use their hotkeys, that is).
MSN Messenger should be ok because it's a relatively small program.
Not sure what that other icon is that looks like the Java logo so it's either the useless Java console or some sort of Java-based application - most Java-applications are resource hogs.
Removing those while playing Eve should help a bit.

nullYou say the problem is generally at 17:00 GMT eh....
Just so happends I have a brilliant solution ... ...
bribe a GM into moving a whole load of probably quite willing outlaws into the belts & mission points in the system ...
You will probably see immediate droppings in local numbers. problem sorted

Level 4 agents in higher sec systems should make you travel a few jumps (3 or 4, say) to find and kill your spawn.
The time sink would increase overall mission times (even with instas, which not everyone would use), meaning a lower number of missions being done and so ISK wouldn't be coming into the system as quickly.
Lower sec level lvl 4 agents should offer closer missions (same system or 1 jump away) to encourage people to use them.
All that said, Ours is always very busy as it houses a lot of different agents and is 2 jumps from a starter system - it's where a lot of new players end up and call home for a while.

problem with Oursulaert is: - Oursulaert III Ferderation Navy Testing - Kueres Malayme - LVL IV Q: -3 Security - Oursulaert VII M4 Federal Intelligence Office - Lallence Agrengalier LVL IV Q: 18 Intelligence - security level 0.9
you have two LVL 4 agents that dish out kill missions and many afk industrial miners
possible solution: - move one of the lvl 4 agents (or some other highly used ones) to other systems like Renyn (write an eve mail to everyone with lp for the agent to tell them that the agent moved) - drop the security level to 0.8
