I feel so weak..
First, i'm french canadian and my english-spoken-verbo-cerebral-tool is only tech 1 meta 3, maybe 4 :)
I have to admit, i'm a carebear! A long time ago i used to be in a big alliance in nullsec doing campains, one after another. I know the lowsec/nullsec mecanic, pvp, capital, gank, camp, cyno bait whatever.. I quit EVE in 2009 after 4 years and came back 18 months later. Now i'm a lowsec mission runner, who got gank Yesterday in a level 5 mission. They had a fleet of 30 agains my two carriers and i died.
*** They try to sansom my pod.. sigh! To the other like me who read this : NEVER PAY A RANSOM!!! EVER!!! Much P'rats will try to but even if they got your money you'll have less than half the chance they will let you go! ***
24 hours later looking at the kill mail and the opposing fleet i regret.. a lot!!! When the covert cyno tackler arrive I panic and try to refit carrier to run away. Felt my heart pumping loudly in my head as i was doing the WRONG thing the wrong way with shaking hands! I had TWO carriers but have NOT fight back! No fighters were deployed.. I could easely kill a few shiny ships before going down! VERY easy kill for them..
My general problem in EVE is my attitude toward others cuz i never want to be a badass and kill people, P'rats or neutral, it doesn't make a difference. Even if i have a chance to have an easy kill by defending myself, i prefer to run and dock or hide. Doing bad stuff to pelple, even to the ones who much deserve it is not an option for me.
Feel so horrible, so weak... Ashamed! I will never run away again from agressives scumbags! I burn my halo and from now on i will learn their way...
Maybe starting a corpses collection?!

I always get shaky and my heart races during PvP I can't help it! I'm not a brilliant PvPer but I know of no other game that delivers that 'heart in your mouth' moment like Eve does! That's why I love this game so much.
You do learn very quickly from your failures though which is a good thing though it doesn't feel like it at the time! It is good that we have the tools as well to look over our losses and adapt so that next time, if you do go down you can take a few with you.
People have said PvE but fit for PvP which is good advice.

Using two carriers to run missions? Possibly AFK while running those missions? Hmm.... Extreme aversion to player interaction?
Yes, you are a very sick child, OP. You need help but you are on the right path by coming here and admitting that.
The first thing you should do is to search the names of the people who ganked you. You must send them a mail thanking them for ganking you and helping you to realise your problem and getting you started on the road to recovery. Express your desire to change your carebear ways, and they may even be kind enough to let you join them.
Take a look at this thread: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=168100&find=unread
Take some advice from there, join a pirate corp and start bullying defenceless carebears. Within one week you will look back at your old self with 2 carriers and you will feel nauseous as you remember how shamelessly you ran missions brainlessly like a bot. You may feel some inner hatred towards yourself as you start to become aware of how sick you have been and your hatred for others like you will grow... as will your infamy and the message that you are spreading; that carebears must not be tolerated.
This is how EvE is supposed to be played, OP. Anyone who tells you otherwise must be purged. |

Seeing the end near, he exhaled all the air from his lungs and tightened himself into a ball. Seconds later he was floating through space and the ooze that once nurtured him splattered over his body. He felt his throat tighten as he fought a desire to breathe, but his instincts took over and forced him to inhale the airless space. As his lungs filled with vacuum his limbs shot in every direction in a maddened frenzy trying desperately to stop his life from extinguishing. But there was no reprieve. His killers watched on with contempt as the heat of his body was sucked out of him, leaving behind a cold lifeless corpse that would never rot -- preserving a look of utter horror and misery that will remain etched on his face for all eternity. Even if vacuum held insulating properties it wouldn't matter because your naked body would still be exposed, allowing heat to transfer out of your body via the skin. Besides, you would die of asphyxiation before freezing -- which I noted.
Also, I wouldn't rush to judge others seeing as you likely wouldn't pass middle school english with your level of reading comprehension (of a fictional piece, no less!) and an interesting way of spelling "vaccum"

Yeah, because America has done so well in it's wars since WWII. I don't care what you think of France or the French. I just can't stand hearing people say we're cowards when we lost 2.000.000 soldiers in the last 100 years. For a country the size of Texas, I think we've had our fair share of horrors and deserve at least some respect on that particular front.
And for the OP : Just grow a freaking spine would you ? And if you can't, whining about it on the forum won't make it any better. |
