Hello fellow pilots, i have a strange question for you. What would be a good fit for Beastower for afk transport? Something like "Set destination, activate autopilot and watch TV", even if i carry some more rare things.... Yes maybe it-¦s not so smart, but still, any viable fit? Means for high sec only. |

The best AFK fit for a T1 hauler is:
Carry nothing of any significant value and that means, 40 mil in cargo or less. Even then, if you AFK through the pipes someone may pop you just on general principle. Recruiting is ON HOLD Please join our public channel The Ninja Dojo for more info |

buffer and passive resist tank the everloving crap out of it. And no cargo rigs.
You'll still lose it to someone that feels like ganking you, but you'll make it that tiny bit harder.
The best tank for a T1 hauler is 'warp to 0'
You want to afk haul something more valuable? don't use a T1 Indy. Use a battleship or orca. Again, you'll probably lose it, but it's harder. |

The sky is falling! The sky is falling! We are doomed! Good advice that makes sense from a guy known to associate in a corp you should always keep a distance from! Its the end of the world! |

If you're looking at a serious trading alt or something, and are really worried about being ganked, I'd pick something to trade that takes up very low cargo room and put it in a passive rattlesnake. Good luck trying to gank that.
For a bestower though...
[Bestower, New Setup 1] Expanded Cargohold II Expanded Cargohold II Expanded Cargohold II Expanded Cargohold II
Heat Dissipation Amplifier II Magnetic Scattering Amplifier II Medium Shield Extender II Medium Shield Extender II
[empty high slot] [empty high slot]
Medium Core Defence Field Extender I Medium Core Defence Field Extender I Medium Anti-Kinetic Screen Reinforcer II
Loses some cargo space from not having the rigs, but 10k ehp with average resists of over 50% is respectable for a passive indy. Still a fairly easy gank target, though, if you're carrying enough isk to waste the ships on. |

Passive rattlesnake, seriously? Regen doesn't mean a damn thing when they're killing you with massed 1400's.
If you're not going to use an Orca, I think a buffer-tanked Abaddon is about as good as you'll get. Not exactly a speedy little bugger, though. |

here's a suggested set up for an afk fit giving you between 10-12.5k m3; and approx 15k ehp with 50% resists to boot. use giant secure containers to boost that too an extra 2700-3600m3 on top of the regular hold. use audit containers passcoded and locked for 'rare' items. use the typical formula of cargo value/approx 50% drop value-gank ship loss value[including typical insurance payout] and for a 15k ehp ship this means moving no more than 60m isk through a place like uedama at .5[i think it's .5 off the top of my head] on a regular basis. one offs might get through with higher values from time to time, but you'll be recognized as a regular passing through there by the usual crew soon enough. simply being recognized as a regular passer by will likely get you ganked eventually on a slow day, just to 'teach the lesson'.
best advice : use something like this for crappy modules when afk. everything else should be couriered via a reputable business and/or do it yourself while not afk in something much harder to catch/kill or less recognizable as a high value transport.

OP is AFK.... So switching a Damage Control on each jump is not going to happen.. |

pesky eft brainfart. without the dc2, ehp is approx 13k with 40-45% resists. |
