I played Eve online waaaaay back in the day, when i quit i handed off most of my resources to people still playing the game. I am currently left with a couple incursuss and a Taranis(this was a brand new addition when i stopped playing), with basic fittings for them. I have many older skills trained to lvl 4/5 shipwise all of them gallente skills, and was primarily a mission runner, as I have a handful of lvl 2 and lvl 3 agents open for use now. I obviously cannot return to doing lvl 3 missions right away. What sort of skill traning should I be doing to "catch up" while i try to farm money to get back into something like a battlecruiser class? All I have seen is a bunch of new skill tree options which are sort of confusing to me. |

Check my signature for a list of basic skills you need for ANY ship.
Then start checking out ships and if you find something that catches you fancy check the certificates under ship info for some tips on which skills would be required to fly it competently.
Major changes will come soon in dec 4th so personally I'd go for Minmatar ships and Projectile Guns as they will be best after dec. So a Hurricane for L3, Rupture for L2, Rifter for L1 would be my recommendation. If you already have a lot of skills in another race ship/weapon tree it might be best to continue down that road for now. The nerfbat will come around again and eventually you will train all races anyhow. FIRE FRIENDSHIP TORPEDOES ! Louis's epic skill guide v1.1 |

Looks like I have a majority of those covered already, I was reading something about "core" but I guess that information is out of date. Regarding ships, since Im not sure how long I will manage to stay interested this go around( it all depends on the friends that have started playing this game recently) I would like to stick with gallente ships and hybrid/missile/drones for my primary ship/weapon types as those are what I have skill points invested into already. Going Minmatar would probably take long enough that i might not be playing anymore. I probably really should have kept at least one of the Megathrons I had =( |

Milene,
You may wish to look into Certificates:
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Certificates
This will help guide you on skill training and help with direction as you re-acclimate to the newer Eve environment and determine what type of ships/modules/gameplay you feel inclined to pursue now. Hope this helps! ISD Cyberdyne Ensign Community Communication Liaisons (CCLs) Interstellar Services Department |

OK, Im assuming as you're Gallente you've probably got some armour tanking skills and drone skills.
Initially, fit out a Vexor for level 2s. Look at an armour-tanked Myrmidon for level 3s - its the Gallente battlecruiser, and has a big drone bay, high slots for guns, and can be armour- or shield-tanked. With mods, you're probably looking at 60m for a Myrm.
If you want to PvP, most every 0.0 corp needs Interceptor pilots, and the 'ranis is a fine inty.
