10mil is not serious? I thought it was reasonable as most ppl can easily make that off a couple of missions or a few hours mining etc...
I think most ppl would agree that 10mil is chump change. I'm not overly rich but hey.

Considering you also have events for the newer pilots, 10 million is by no means a fair price.
While you and me can easily miss 10, I remember myself struggling for 5 million to get a Caracal when I started out. :)

and you can still only afford rifters eh deepeh
to be honest the noob ship entry fee should be a lot less than 10mil. For the others 10mil sounds fine to me.

erm, i think its meant to be 10mill for all events, not 10mill per event. so anyone that can afford to be losing ceptors and battleships can likely afford the 10mill...

Hello people. The 10 million isk fee grants access to all the events. However I had intended for people to form teams with two members competing in each events, as changing ships would take time. I also made the entry fee 10 mill to raise the pot encouraging veteran players to join in on the game as they have considerably more income. I unfortunately didnt not consider the effect it would have on younger pod pilots, as I am one myself. I have decided to lower the fee to 10 mill per *team*. So if you have two different people in each event, the fee would break down to 1 million isk per contestent. However you are not required to have different members. Let me know what you think about this.
*p.s. I am still working on getting some more items donated into the pot, and it looks like we may get an Eagle! (80 mill isk /tech 2 ship)

What about dividing up events according to skills and experience?
And then you can have a more novice section, and you can charge less than 10 million for that... as a way to get newer players involved. -----------------------------------------------

That is a very good idea, Shira d'Radonis. What would be good divisions for skill points? I do want this event to be for everyone.

I'm the wrong person to ask... when it comes to the nitty gritty of PvP, I'm not terribly experienced. -----------------------------------------------

Thanks again to everyone who has given their input so far. I am still aiming to have this event saturday (May,7). Though I have not gotten back as many replies as I had hoped for. Anybody else out there have any suggestions or reservations about attending, I would like to know at least for future events. These events can be a good way to stimulate some income in Eve (and especially for me!, before I have to resort to piracy ;) ) Let me know what you think!

I think this is a great idea. I think the suggestion to divide the groups up into experience levels is a good idea. It makes for fair competition for newer places and allows older players to have stronger players to compete against - more satisfying for all.
Do you know where these events will be held yet? When are you planning to host them?

Unable to have event just yet, working on refining entry by skillpoints and getting more prizes. Will update in the near future.
