any battlereport about this?
http://www.tl-eve.com/kb/index.php/kill_related/16865/
I believe TL guys will post a lot as in thread about "fight" against Insidious design, but it would be very interesting to hear RnK side too.
Thanks in advance! |

Word on the grapevine is that it was a login trap by RnK. TL thought they were having one fight when it turned out they were actually having another.
Props to RnK for not losing a single ship though. |

A horrible write up written by RNK. I believe half of it is them masturbating to their fleet composition. It's just ******** that people even watch their videos, the last one was single POS bash. I don't understand why they can't get to the point with the battle reports. |

The reason the reports are so popular is because the interplay of strategy is fascinating, even in situations like this one where rnk speak openly about having the better cards to play.
I've covered some battles of rnk on the site and it's also interesting to cover a group very influential with doctrines and strategies.

holy sh*t balls does that need a tl;dr.... usually rnk writeups are at least vaguely interesting but i nearly fell asleep on that one and started skimming very early on.
here is my tl;dr:
rnk got mad at tl for RFing their pve farming alt corp's tower. rnk ganked a pve carebear fleet. rnk got madder due to tl's charming personalities. rnk setup a 9 capital logoff trap. rnk ganked a tl cap fleet in no was ready for them.
the end.

thank you. i said the exact same thing, was painful to get through it all and I still had a hard time understanding the background. rnk should stick to videos |

It must have all been an accident in RnK's favour. RnK did nothing to force the fight. 9 caps in that system was coincidental. RnK were pretty terrible to not have a loss. Their fleet composition was kitchen sink. Guns of Knowledge-á |

The carefully woven tapestry of w-space politics that RnK portray so beautifully and truthfully? The deep thinking and tactical choices during a fight? Don't everybody in Eve care about that? It all gets lost (no pun intended) if you don't word it just so..
I really enjoy RnK videos, they are awesome in every way. But they are stories, not battle reports.

At this point in the battle, it is fair to say, Insidious Design were up **** creek with a paddle made of wombat bladders filled with tears. Their POS was raped, they had SDed everything, and their CEO was on the forums trolling his enemies as if he was a ictor and not a gimp in a cage full of buzzing motorised dildos.
Weighing up our strategic choices, I gave the order on comms - log in. Primary that dude who is spitting his beer on his fap mat. Then that dude who is AFK. And that other dude trying to run away? Blap him too. Aggro everything so it can't log off.

my point was more along the lines of that the only 'tactic' needed in that fight was log in, warp to zero, shoot stuff till it dies.
EDIT: actually, there is one single interesting aspect to all of it and that it that in the first site gank, the RNK Moros' were both rail fit which is a tactic not seen almost ever in WHs. |

no it doesnt. 7 dreads can volley bhaals off the field even if you had 100 triage archons repping them. |

From the report I've gathered that RnK managed to kill two bhaalgorns before their 7 dreads landed on the grid. |

As I figure it, the point is the timing of what lands when. Rook dreads land first and whack some bhaals before TL dreads land. I figure even for 7 (energy-gun) dreads it could go pear shaped if you are fighting 5 (?) bhaals, 4 dreads and 4-5 triage at once (why dont people use phoenix more for dread vs dread?)
Not that I got the vibe that this is meant to be a dicey battle where they are in trouble. They prob had more stuff ready if they needed it. The interesting bit for me is how you play your cards in big wormhole stuff.
And bleeding hell wh folks fit rich. Nearly 100bil in damage from 2 skirmish and one fight, without a super going down.

I'd have preferred an even longer report tbh - theres a lot to learn. Read your blog and enjoyed it too but we can all learn something and reading through these forums notice you should do your own entry there on a big fleet fight you lost at the weekend.

Wrong order bro, the correct order of usefulness is as follows.
1. Self destructing for insurance money. ..... 13. Scanning 14. Closing wormholes. 15. Hitting capital sized ships and structures. |
