What is the most profitable?
If you train refining, ref. eff., and processing skills to lvl5, will that give more profit than just selling the ore?

Always Refine. there is little isk in selling ore. AND u have any idea how heavy the best ore is. nobody wants to haul a massive load of ore |

If you don't have refining efficience to at least III, it's usually better to sell unrefined. Just check the market for the buy price in your area then bring up the refine amount for the minimum number of raw ore (333 for Scord and Veld) to see what you'll actually get back. Multiply this by the local going rate. Whichever's best is what you should do. Generally from my research it's preferable not to refine, but your region's results may vary. Also take into account the travel time if you need to move the ore; though you can be lucky and have the buy order at the station or on a remote order.
To get minimum waste, 0-1, you just need to train RE to IV and the ore-specific skills to II. V takes awhile, so you'll save a lot of time just doing it this way.

Also if you want to see how much and what mineral each ore gives go to www.eve-i.com and then to the object explorer.
Be carefull though those amounts shown mean that for instance with plag you will get 560 or so pyer but this is per refine batch. So for every 333 of plag u refine u get 560 pyer. ----- Trixy says "Keep ur friends close but ur enemies even closer" -----

Astro and Mining won't help with your refining yields, but it sounds like you're set to make a lot of ISK.

Not to be picky Maggie, but you trained up to lvl 5 in these fields and you don't know if it is better to refine or not? I'd suggest looking into a skill before training it to level 5 to see if it makes sense or not for you.
The best answer has already been posted. See how much you can get for it unrefined, see how much you can get for it refined (you can cancel the refine operation without completing it).
If you cannot sell it at the station you are at, refine it and mine more on your way to another station.
Don't nickle and dime. If you cannot sell the unrefined or refined for the 'best' price, sell it anyway, as long as it is not a lot lower than the average price. You can mine another load in the time it will take (plus a bit) for you to get to another station with a better price. Unless you mine very slowly and have a large cargo hold.

Always refine, you have a good skill lvl there, plus do be picky. take it to sell at best price otherwise what is the point of having perfect ( or almost ) refining skill. you can make alot of isk if you play your cards right. some smaller newer corps will even pay for some people to refine for em like 1%.
enjoy
