So, with CW2.0 in effect what is the best way to initiate a 1v1 without getting hopped on by every passer by? |

In high sec there was never really a way due to neutral RR, other than sparring with a corpmate. I doubt that much has changed here really. If you've got someone who you think will honor a 1 v 1 (and my experience, E Honor is extremely rare in this game), simply meet them at a customs office near a planet and each of you take from the other person's can. Anyone that "wonders by and jumps in" was clearly brought into the fight.
Honestly though, your best bet is Red vs Blue. Those dudes will usually honor 1 v 1s I believe. Quality Assurance RECRUITING OPEN https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=176314&find=unread |

Of course! Why didn't I think of that!?! I could just drop cans off all day at any random undock in the forge |

I guess he means how to initiate a 1v1 without getting a suspect flag. In former times (meaning yesterday) you dropped a can with 1 shot of ammo, if the other took it you had a 1v1. Unfortunately i don't know how to start this now with CW2. |

It is our policy, yes, to honor 1v1s. People who don't usually don't last in RvB. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. GǪ" |

Well if its an honoured 1v1 between to people then simply making ss and warping both to it will keep passing strangers from taking pot shots. As a guarantee against dishonoured 1v1s there is no real way, but then rr always made this the case anyway. |

Before the patch you could have a 1 vs 1 match using container drops and stealing. Now anyone passing by can attack you with the new security flag. Before this was not possible. Rather annoying. FIRE FRIENDSHIP TORPEDOES ! Louis's epic skill guide v1.1 |

1v1 fights were never an official institution in Eve, as could be seen by no real mechanic for them, no regard for balancing ships for them, and the inherent advantage granted by things like the skill system -- all issues that go away in group fights.
Retribution changes simply mean you need to hold the fight at a safe spot, and use an insta-warp undock to be safe if you happen to still have a suspect timer when you undock. It's not that hard. You will still have 15 minutes where you are KOS for everyone AFTER the fight, which is rather annoying. |

That's what I'm saying. I know the mechanics, to fleet up, warp to safe, the good ol' "meet me at planet 6"...I'm asking other HS duelers what they are resorting to in order to best deal with cw2. Then, as a community, we can record here what works best and what should obviously be avoided. |
