Re-read the patch notes. They are now scannable sites, not static. They're out there, but now you have to work for them. |

The static sites just got afk script-camped.... Triple rep Myrms are like what you'd get if you strapped a beehive to Robocop. |

To be fair you don't have to work very hard. Minimal scanning skills plus throwing out some probes set to max range finds the easy sites almost immediately. Its more of a "did you read the patch notes" and "did you do the exploration newbie missions" check than anything else.
Has to annoy bot runners though so +1 for that. |

They should have just prevented the respawn if any room is occupied and also made the site despawn and respawn in a new location. Much better solution than taking away the option for a new player to gain valuable experience in sites outside missions. |

I don't think that anything is taken away from newer players there. You can start probing with just 1 or 2 days of training (i did this and hunted radar sites in highsec for instance) - and i would venture a guess that the DED 1 and 2 sites are easy to probe. So new players that want to look into exploration now actually have a better chance to do those sites, because before they would just run into one of the campers. |

I been looking Mio - just not found any for you yet :)
BTW the highest strength (for signatures) I am seeing on a DSP scan is still 0.6 - which is hideout band for me. I am assuming they are in there.

As others have said, this is killing the campers, botters etc.
Although I enjoyed the occaisional run thru some of the known ones, am more than happy that they botters/campers got screwed.
Now I can stop petitioning them. |

Concur. If new players are hungry for an exploration experience then there's nothing holding them back from probing. Ship restrictions will still keep 1s and 2s away from the high sec T3 crowd, and now new players won't hit the various walls of camped sites and realizing that those few sites are all that you can get without fitting a probe launcher. |

This may seem silly but I really do miss them because they were fun. Due to higher skill set I preferred to run them in civilian fit frigs. This made them still challenging.
Punisher fit with: 3 x Civilian Gatling Pulse Laser Salvager 1 Civilian Stasis Webifier Civilian Afterburner Civilian Damage Control 2 x Civilian Armor Repairer Basic Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane
Vigil fit with: 2 x Civilian Gatling Railgun Civilian Light Missle Launcher 2 x Civilian Stasis Webifier Civilian Afterburner Civilian Damage Control 2 x Civilian Armor Repairer Civilian Hobgoblin |

It's a shame they removed the low sec ones rather than fixing the key spawning problems. They would have been fun to fight over rather than having to premark bait sites and hit defenseless scan boats. The high sec ones were overdue for removal though. |

Yesterday I was extremely bored, decided to fit a Vexor with probes and crap I had in the hangar. A few minutes later I docked with a Coreli A-type small armor repairer XD |

So because you enjoyed using the low sec they should have kept those.....but the h-sec ones should go because why?
Because you can't just kill people there without Concord action...
I don't get why people hate h-sec so much. H-sec is a nursery for your future l-sec and null sec pilots. You should love it because it brings fresh meat to your PVP gaming. |

I was inside another thread that has a lot of low sec players asking CCP to remove the 1/2 plexes out of hisec completely, and CCP is looking at the concept.
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&find=unread&t=177254
They are VERY vocal btw. PLEASE don't take what I say here verbatim. Read that thread first maybe, as I have my own spin on it.
The complaint from the low sec players is that the 1/2 attracted people there and they could get fights there all the time. What I tried to say is that, in my opinion, the only people that would go there if the 1/2 were removed from hisec would still be just them, ie, the low sec players that live there.
I would have no inclination to jump to a static 1/2 doorway where I knew people were waiting for a PvE fitted ship. I would have to go there with a PvP ship, survive a possible gatecamp at the lowsec entry gates, then survive the plex gate fight, and maybe get attacked inside by the same player AGAIN after he comes back with a ship that's fitted against what I have mounted, if not him and a friend, if I had shown any bling.
I fully understand their little fight club, I just don't see the hisec players bothering. I wasn't even bothering with the statics in hisec BEFORE the change, not much incentive after. |

Most of the time the 1/10 & 2/10 were being camped so effectively this was just excessive ISK being pumped into the economy which does things like artificially raising the price of PLEX for those who pay to play with ISK etc. Therefore on the whole it was a good idea to place those complexes back into the exploration/probing system. An added incentive for those thinking of the exploration sector as a possible career if nothing else.
Likewise with the alteration to the AI to primary drones in combat AFKing & botting in complexes & COSMOS areas is much harder to do now. I agree that AFKing & botting should be attacked by CCP but this has resulted in combat & mining drone use being much more problematic which on the whole is a bad thing for the game. If nothing else it persecutes the Gallente race so I would personally favour this alteration to the game being amended or removed. Sledgehammer to crack a nut as they say.
PS. On a personal note has anyone else had pilots such as Destination Skillqueue etc add likes to all their forum posts without being asked to do so? I was trying to acquire only genuine 'likes' but I now have over thirty fake ones. Small beer I suppose.
PPS. A lesson to all. NEVER give 'QQ' - even on the forums. My 'likes' have now doubled. Cheers Destination |

fresh meat to your PVP gaming.
You answered your own question. Just because someone is fresh meat today doesn't mean they won't be a pitbull next week. Just because I camped a site didn't mean a better pilot couldn't come along and kill me, it happened quite often.
EvE is pvp there is no pve game just resources to fight over...and a unique one in low sec is gone. |
