CCP has never given something back, what they took, so dont think, you change something with daily bumping. I would be surprised, if a real developer would read this forum, maybe their support and we all know now probably, where they copy and paste their answers from.
Also i dont think, at least in my case, there is any interest in changing it, cause ninja plexing was a hurt to the big alliances and now they have the complex for themselves, which is fair, cause they hold the space. And they are doing them more then befor. I went though some regions and didnt find any signatures like befor the patch, they are all done now. They want us to find solutions and this is, what you find in these forums. You find other players, which help you with answers sometime.
So there is still a way to run complex with two accounts, not all kind of complex at the same time, so if you concentrate for example on radar and ladar and ignore all the others, there is a possibility to run them only, if you change some modules on the support account for a better tank. I went to syndicate yesterday, which is probably the easiest complex region, because of the serpentis only damping, and tried it out.
This setup works very fine:
Nighthawk (Damagedealer) High: Improved cloaking device 2 (against hostile probing) 6 Missile Launchers (Navy Scourge Missiles) Med: 10 MN Afterburner or Microwarp, if you have a nice Cap Management Invulfield, Kinetic and Thermic Hardener Large Shield Extender (Tank) Low: 3 Ballistic Controls (Damage) 2 Shield Power Relays Riggs core defence field purger 5 Hornets
The ship can still tank everything, when it receives remore repair from the support account. It takes little longer until all targets are dead, but its doable.
Tengu (Support: Scouting, Probing, Remote Repair High: Cloak, Salvager, Tractor Beam, Expanded Probe Launcher Med: 10 MWD, Kinetic, Thermal, Invulfield, Pithum C-Type Med Shield Booster, Dread Guristas Shield Amp, Code breaker or Analyzer, depends on which plextype you run Low: Cap Recharger Riggs: Cap Control Circuits
The Tengu can selftank serpentis easy with factionmodules, it should have a nice cap management and tech 2 riggs, then frigates cant hurt you, because missiles will kill frigates at every range and frigates are the most problem in complex, then neutralizers, so both should be always primary.
Its still a setup, where you are pretty mobile, they dont camp you in that long and you could run the 8/10 plex easy alone, if you know, howto kill the station in the end, when you burn 120km away with the agro and it stops repping. I havnt found a 10/10 yet, but i am sure, tank should hold. I use only officer and deadspace items, but should work with tech2 also, if you are little more carefully. You should be careful with the tank and get at range of the damage in the beginning of every stage. Neutralizers are the only problem, but with some warp-outs and -ins again you should kill them also.
In other space you should change the support to a loki or switch to armor, if you change the tank, so proteus or legion for support. Support must be a tech 3 because of the scouting, which is very dangerous in hostile regions. Its tougher to run, cause the electronic warfare is more difficult. If you receive too many neuts or get jammed on the support, while the damagedealer gets the rest of the agro, it could be a pain.
Guristas, Bloodraiders or Sanshas i need to findout, which damagedealer is the best. On sansha plex i used an oracle befor, which cannot tank any plex with the new change, but the oracle was a mean machine to run sansha plex, 15 minutes for an 8/10 complex was too good, I can understand this one.
Best is to find a friend for ninja plexing and use three or four accounts. Its also then possible to pew pew or fit analyzer on one supportship and the codebreaker on the other, so you can run most plex you find. The rewards are still good, if you have done 20 radars for example in a day, its just not that easy anymore as befor.
Lets hope for better rewards or some tech 3 battleships in the near future, which can make it easier again to steel complexs from the big alliances. Or maybe some more players reading this and getting motivated to run complex from other alliances space. It makes you very rich, of course and i would love to help out with it. |

New NPC AI just makes mission running and PVE outside Incursions and WH more fun. You now have to do more to get your ISK.
Checking drones etc, it stops AFK missioning.
I hardly lost any drones during missions because the new AI is nothing like Incursion or WH.
WH is like this, its like they have FC's.

Had an interesting encounter yesterday. Only *one* elite frig shooting a T2 drone, and it was already in deep armor while trying to make it's way back, when his 4 buddies popped the lone webber. That's a frig alone, and not 5, and yet it took out the shields and most armor while webifying also. Wish there was a Rogue Drone Faction Battleship... Infested Domi! We have been (silently) following several threads about NPC AI changes deployed in Retribution and we wanted to let you know of our stance on this.
NPCs target and kill my drones all the time in PvE after Retribution
- We want PvE activities to require active participation and mirror PvP more closely than just bland launch drones and forget about they exist until all NPCs are dead. Having NPCs engage your drones if they are your primary source of damage is to be expected and we expect play styles to adapt in consequence.
- However, there is a fine balance to be reached here, and while we want more challenge in PvE, we don't want drones to be insta-killed without you having time to do anything to prevent it. The changes deployed during Retribution were too extreme, which is why we deployed a patch on December, 19th to alleviate this issue.
Quote: NPCs will now only target drones in their size category.
- Elite frigates and cruisers NPCs will go for small drones and above.
- Frigates and Cruisers NPCs will go for medium drones and above.
- Battleship NPCs will go for large drones.
NPCs tracking disruption is too strong since Retribution
This is another bug which should have been fixed on December, the 12th. If you still are having issue with Tracking Disruption NPCs please let us know by filing bug reports with the implied NPC names.

It was a fairly predictable system (generally speaking, if you shot a linked group of enemies, their hate would stay on you and not peel off to your drones at all after that), but it was still something you had to manage. The notion that it was ever, at all, a widespread thing for people to just put out drones and then go AFK while they mopped everything up, is so utterly absurd, and is more of a myth than anything else. Not because it was 100% impossible, but because it would have been a completely suboptimal way to run missions. If you were running missions that way, then you were nerfing yourself from the outset, no patching needed. The AI changes were a solution in search of a problem. |

In all honesty, since I started running L4s again (admittedly not long ago), I haven't lost any T2 drone, only T1s in L3s (that I purposly stress-tested a bit). However, I didn't yet get any of the missions I'm wary of regarding drones.
And that one elite frig almost killing a T2 was kindof foreboding, any time elites are on field, I first shoot the cruisers and only then launch light ones. Sniping them with sentries if there is any chance I'll lock them in time, and now I'm even training signature analysis to V to that end.

Hello,
I am glad that ccp care about these topics!
Altough I am aware of the changes ccp implemented against the drone syndrome(which is good and I agree with it), I still didnt get an answer for the smaller yet more annoying problems such us:
- small scale pvp ( tackle something in a belt or an anomaly and the whole pocket is agroing you and eventually killing you without help)
-High end exploration sites shooting logistic ships, making it impossible to finish with a single logi or extremely expensive ships.
I believe the balance still needs some work to do. |

Did Sansha version of Recon pt1 L4 this week and TDs still in effect even when they are showing as not being used. Hadn't realised this was 'fixed' so sadly didn't make a note of the NPC names - I will if it happens again.

Question about the drone AI - why do my drones automatically attack exactly the target I DON'T want them to? Can we get a setting where I can tell drones to attack whoever I'm shooting? I thought 'focus fire' setting used to do this but for sure now it doesn't. |

In a Blockade I had my sentries kill two triggers when they killed two-three ships while I was damped down to 8km lock range. Note how only one trigger spawns at a time... Even more interesting is when I start shooting at a battleship, and while my drones have focus fire on, they start shooting at two different ones.
It's not the drone that got a new AI, but the rats. Drones are as dumb as always, better to have them on passive, at least that way when a new wave of elite cruisers and frigs spawn, you have a chance to recall them.
