Curious for reports on other theaters in the Gallente Caldari war.
Since the sudden FW update a month ago, Gallente has held T4 consistently around 60% while Caldari hovers in T2 around 25%. Caldari recently flipped Vifervaert in Essence, knocking Gallente out of T4.

CCP implemented another Gallente requested buff to their plex farming (as if screwing people over with ninja patch was not enough), Caldari continue to fight outnumbered as everyone and their dog jumps to side with more isk making options. That's about it. |

Current plex mechanics post Retribution is God aweful. You only need to kill 1 NPC for a medium plex and you get 62,500 LP for a medium at T4 WZ Control. This is even more farming than before. Whereas before it was too hard to take a system, most are saying it's gonna be too easy to take a system now. CCP always goes from one extreme to the other. Never able to strike a balance towards the middle.
The lack of NPCs in the complexes means lack of tags which means alot of the FW mods that rely on tags will be much harder to attain thus resulting in a scarce supply of them on the market. People are more likely to use ships as their preferred cashout item than mods as ships don't need tags. One could speculate that more and more people will flock to missions to grab tags but that's speculation right now. If tags rise very high in price, then that's a sign that not enough people are mission running. If tags lower in price, then there are enough mission runners.
I'm not a big fan of T2 ships getitng into a medium. It's not so much about the AHAC gang or solo deimos coming in to fight you. Because you rarely see those anymore. It's more about the cloaky falcon that accompanies the offensive plexer or cloaky recons camping a plex.
I think the buff to ships and crimewatch is hiding the flaws that the newest plex mechanics are showing. Once people get over the newness thing, it will be interesting to see if people want to stick around with FW. Gallente FW Blog http://iamsheriff.com/blog Recruitment Status: On C'est La Eve :) |

You mean the ninja patch of making plex changes happen month ahead of schedule and then removing the "deep vulnerable" status of systems without any warning whatsoever at weekday notoriously bad for Caldari militia, basicly allowing gallente to uncontest whole warzone in couple of hours?
We all now know what was the "outside force which would make sure Caldari never got tier 5 again" that Gallente players shouted about, few days before the ninja patch happened. And yet people keep saying CCP is not biased in the least.

Gallente fight as men. Caldari fight as men. Just so happens the Caldari are good at coordinating their plexing fleets. Who knows with the new changes, the momentum seen in Vif could be interrupted with the Retribution changes. Otherwise I'd say it's a hardly fluctuating stalemate. I've seen a lot more Caldari activity in the past two days then I've seen in awhile. I hope you guys keep up the momentum and get back on your feet. To speak for myself, I don't care about the money. I just want enough to keep shipping back up. What I really want are good fights, and I pray that Caldari can take a few more systems back and give those fights to us. |

And why should we give them to you? CCP just threw you another bone after Caldari started to come back, which will kick Caldari back to tier 1 because Gallente get more isk, plexes can be farmed again with impunity and they even increased the number of plexes available per 30 min period.
So exactly tell me, what is there left to fight for since it seems one can get better pvp content with new bounty system than FW than the ****** farmville you petitioned Hans and CCP to make FW into, again. |

Many tears indeed. But this new patch really is Farmville. Not sure why Hans nor CCP didn't see this coming. The inferno patch just required you to speed tank. This patch just requires you to shoot 1 rat and anything up to a medium plex can be done in a frig alt with maybe 10 days training or less. I don't like the new mechanics either. As for why you should "give" me fights, it's because we're all in this together even if we're on opposing sides. Please try to remember that when you feel you've been backed into a corner on the map and you feel hopeless people like me aren't happy about it either. Do I want to win? Of course I do, but not by such a large margin. |

Somebody has to lose. (Seriously though, you're right these payout multipliers should be incremental 5%, not 75% increases. Lockouts of important low sec agents is enough of a penalty to isk-making)

And Gal/Matar just, by purest of happestance, own the only low-sec FW agents which are immune to station lockouts and CCP does not appear to be keen on fixing this one. and why would they, since by their own admission, devs are playing for those militias.

These guys are very smart and forward thinking. They put those stations (Parts for Gallente) away from the FW theater knowing full well that they would buff missions one year later, and then they would implement a lockout feature 4 years later.
I am perfectly happy with CCP moving Parts to Vlillirier or Heyd or anywhere in the FW theater that is close to Caldari space like so many Caldari mission systems (Eha, Innia, Enalurix2, Nisuwa, etc...) are to Gallente space. Oicx would be great too. Or perhaps Aldranette or Abune. |

Confirming that Caldari still are number one in number of pilots with over 10k.
Gallente is third with right around 8.1k

Pure numbers =/= actively playing pilots, I feel the Caldari side is lacking in comparison to the Gallente when it comes to actively flying pilots. It doesn't surprise me that the Caldari have a lot of FW pilots...it's traditionally a carebear/PvE race to begin with and FW mixes PvP with PvE very well.
That said, I am expecting a lot more action over the weekend. The Caldari are on a high from the Vif flip and I am expecting to see some interesting fleets in the following days. I only hope the Gallente ship up and give a good and fun fight. In my opinion Caldari lacks of experience in EU TZ, i am not saying they are bad, but there are more and better pilots in the Gallente Militia.
What Caldari needs is a nice corporation or alliace which reactivates this and a change in the mechanics, there are too many farmers in the gallente side, basically because they receive better rewards...
its ok that they gain more but its a **** we gain like 75% less...
You see lots of mini gangs, but there is no strategy, at least a common strategy and mechanics dont help
but its ok, we have fights and LPs, we just need to make our prices go higher I will always love LowSec |

I'm sorry but I have to correct this. At the time of the patch Gallente owned like 85% of the systems and did a final Tier 5 dump (caldari farming vulnerable system as every faction did) Ninja patch went in and people didn't really understand exactly what the changes meant and caldari were able to get some systems back even when CCP simply deleted the huge excess of system capture.
By coordinated effort of militias deplexing do you mean the horde of farmer alts that used their incursus plexing ships that were useless for offensive plexing to very high paying and even more afk friendly defensive plexing?
I think caldari militia are pretty dumb and lol-worthy but that ninja patch handed gallente a huge advantage which they didn't even want or need. If caldari can ever regain t3 or t4 that would be hugely impressive. |

Kraken. has left the caldari militia (dunno if forever) Gallente has reached T4. Caldari militia incredibly lacks of any kind of FC or semipublic fleets
The only good thing is that pvp is good, faction caldari objects has expensive prices if you know what you are doing and you can have nice fights if you know how to evade "blobs" (3 vs 1 for example)
I dont know how is the amarr/min war but this one ins a pure chaos, just small pvp..., i dont think it possible to capture a single system...

There is a standard gallente response to anything which fills the vacuum. Go blueballs until said entity gets bored and leaves for nullsec and never returns for FW, usually after not-so-succesfull 0.0 career. So far it has always worked wonderfully. Frog entities never have such problem, being content to sit in their home system and titan bridge on anything which happens to fight outside plexes since taking any kind of challenges is completely alien concept to gallentes.
Eternal Corrosion wrote:I dont know how is the amarr/min war but this one ins a pure chaos, just small pvp..., i dont think it possible to capture a single system..
CCP reintroduced the farming because Gallentes wanted it back, without resetting warzone (which would been easy solution with say three week period of no-lockouts to enable people take places they wanted) and basicly handing the frogs keys to bank vault with automatic high-tier, since ninja patching Caldari to hell was not sufficient punishment enough. So where do farmers go? Not to Caldari as you can quess. |
