1. War decs should not transfer from a lone corp to an alliance when the lone corp joins an alliance. (That's what the "defender is open for allies" button is for.
2. If you war dec an alliance, any corps that leave the alliance should keep the war dec for the full week (to get rid of the problem with corps avoiding war decs.)
3. If a player leaves corp the war dec should follow the player for the full week (to get rid of the solo player dropping corp to avoid war dec)
I understand War decs are used as a tool to "Greef" players but with the higher prices, the people who war dec should not only be able to keep their targets, but should not have to fear an exploit that is an exploit of gaming mechanics. (Example: Dec Shield) |

~edit~ What pisses me off is the fact Dec shield is clearly exploiting in game mechanics with the perma war decs and getting away with it, yet If someone accepts corp out in space and shoots someone in a war dec it's a banable exploit... yet it's still an in game mechanic.

I disagree with #1 because this provides an easy exploit for corps to create a dummy alliance and use it to shed off their war decs.
#2 i believe was done in inferno, as the patch notes state "War shedding is no longer possible. Corporations that are at war will continue to be so, regardless of joining or leaving alliances."
#3 I dont think is possible as wars are coded on a corp/alliance level not a character level, however what they did do in inferno is "If you leave a corporation while the war is on, you cannot re-join until the war is over or 7 days have passed. This does not apply to mutual wars." |

I don't think you read 1 correctly, or I didn't give enough information. #1 would be for example: War corp war decs defender corp A defender corp A joins an alliance with Corp B, C and D only Corp A would be at war, and this war would folow them (even if they leave) until the renew period at the end of the week once War corp needs to renew dec they will have to dec the alliance if corp A is still in alliance If by chance corp B, C, and D wanted to get involved they would have to use the "allies" button to join in
#2 I have delt with first hand even after inferno I did a war dec on an alliance for around 200mil A corp left the alliance and i got a mail from concord saying "Hey this war will be invalid in 24 hours" I then had to pay another 250 mil (because either they or I were at war) to keep them at war with me.
granted the prices are made up a bit but it was more exp to war dec the corp that left than it was to dec the entire alliance, just so i could keep the corp at war.
#3 was just an idea, I don't know if they can do that or not. |

yeah #2 has to be a bug . . . I would petition it because that isnt at all what the patch notes state . . .
as far as #1 goes, it would be weird to have a corp thats in your alliance at war when you're not, but i guess not impossible . . . it is simply a cosmetic change, however, as they could simply add them as allies in the war instead of joining the alliance; 6 of one half a dozen of the other. |

CCP thought they fixed the problem but Dec Shield just bounces the war around from alliance to alliance to keep it free and mutual. |
