I enjoy playing around with every facet of the eve universe, from mining to PVP. With the new release of crimewatch I would say it is definitely a step in the right direction. How ever one thing that has always made me cringe is the fact that if you even try to kill someone in high sec you are straight up screwed. To be completely honest with you this is broken, I got it, give the gankers consequences, I am all for it, but I say rather than locking them down give them a choice. Joe ganker goes to to blow up jill miner, concord warps in and begins locking him up. Joe has three choices, either make the kill before he gets blown up, get his buddies to help him finish the kill (unless he can do it himself with high enough DPS) or warp off and leave the vessel intact, for the most part. However warping off does not stop the aggression timers and in fact Joe gets another timer, the pursuit timer, if Joe stops in space for more than how ever long it would normally take him to align to another position and warp concord will warp in again and start locking him up, no matter where he is at. if Joe logs off the timer pauses and will reactivate when he logs back on, only ending when the suspect timer has ended. This system would only apply to 0.8 and below as I still think it is important to give the new players a buffer zone to get their sea legs before the begin making the first steps of many into the real world of Eve and what so many other players love. |

wtf????
so you attack someone in hisec and then you have the options of either continuing attack, getting friends to help or warping off? And concord does what exactly during all this? Locks you and watches for your decision
If you aggress someone in hisec you get popped, if you manage to pop them they get a kill right. If you want to avoid concord go to lowsec or null (Player Opened Direct Wormholes) (Expanding on Wormholes) |

If you aggress someone in hisec you get popped, if you manage to pop them they get a kill right. If you want to avoid concord go to lowsec or null No concord does not simply watch, they start getting a lock on the aggressor and if the aggressor is still around when they are finished locking up, they kill the aggressor. if the aggressor gets away, having completed the kill or not, they get the above mentioned pursuit timer and its function.
This is not avoiding concord it is simply stalling them, as I feel if I kill another player, it is their responsibility to kill me back or hire someone else to do it, not an NPC. |

So basically you are asking for insti locking Nado's to be immune to concord? Because thats the effect of what you are saying. Lock fast, Hit them with alpha killing them in one volley, warp immediatly. Concord would never catch you unless you made a stupid mistake under your proposal. |

This is the way concord used to be; it was bad . . . all you needed is a critical mass where you can one volley stuff and you can gank anything . . . death should be guarenteed when you blow up a ship
Now i can understand that concord might not blow up your ship if you didnt destroy anything; that might be interesting, like if you cease fire after they lock you, and the ship doesnt end up blowing up, you get to keep your ship and concord just charges you a fine or something . . . that might be interesting. |
