Edited by: KSUDruid on 16/05/2005 21:54:38 Today at 18:53 Eve Time LordDark, of Damage Industries, entered ASCN space, used a alt in a covert ops to setup on, and subsequently destroy a CLS Battleship conducting Industrial Operations in our home territory.
The pilot in question from Damage Industries immediately logged off in the local of the invasion to avoid repurcussions from the approaching ASCN forces.
After breifly speaking with the CEO from DMGI, Kirst N, She left the conversation without explanation. This is an obvious and blatent attempt to start a war with the Ascendant Frontier, we are only too happy to fullfill your wishes.
At this time the ASCN sets DMGI to -10 standings and will actively hunt down and destroy those who threaten our space and our members.
To the allies of DMGI, at this time we have no reason to label you as -10 per se. However, if you interfere with the ASCN pilots in there duties, you will also be added to the list.
As Always, you may contact any of the ASCN Leadership by stopping by our alliances public forums at the ASCN Forums

No offense, but thats a pretty weak excuse to travel half way across the galaxy and join in the PB bandwagon.
AFAIK Ascendant Frontier involvement in PB prior to this incident was zero, or am I mistaken?
Anyways, whatever, none of my business really

They were the ones who simply rolled in and started shooting at us, were just responding. If you want to go on with the theories go ahead, their wrong. -------

All the more reason for Damage Industries act of aggression to be responded in kind, if you ask me.

I fail to understand? DMGI, operating in PB, sent a ship to ASCN space and destroyed an ASCN ship. ASCN, who have not been involved in the war are brought into it...
Its DMGI's fault... Not ASCN's. --------

I find it rather odd that DMGI with all that is happening in PB found the time to send somebody all the way to Ascendant Frontier space and attack them in their space.
Its odd to say the least, whilst it may be true, this does not mean you need to mobilise your whole fleet to avenge one ship ..... i just view it as odd thats all.....
But like I said whatever....

You are correct Nez. We have/had no interest in basically anything other than our own space.
However when someone who you have set to neutral, comes into your space, delibertly ganks a miner using a covert ops to setup, then pods the person with a smartbomb, what the hell are we supposed to do? That's about as blatent as an attack as you can get. So with all do respect mr. FIX Diplomat, take your righteous cow manure and mix it with a cold glass of shut the hell up before you start rolling your eyes at us.

Does a covert ops being present or not change the fact a DMGI ship destroyed a CLS ship in ASCN space?
I think not. The covert op merely hints toward a firm premeditation of the act.

Edited by: Zerodragoon on 16/05/2005 21:29:54 The actual attack came from a apoc, the covert ops comes from the fact that their was another in teh system and he managed to warp in on top of a ice belt 300km above the standard warp in point, landing right next to the bs he killed. -------

This pilot came into our space, killed and podded one of our embers. In trying to convo the CEO, he/she closed out convo, which ended negotiations. We have not started this conflict, we are simply responding to it. The offender still has the opportunity to reimburse our member for their loss, but they have made no attempt to do so.
So be it. Targets! Cheers \o/ Cookies and cake for everyone!

as if DMGI didn't have enough enemies already...
its funny how a little fighting over such a crappy region such as Period Bases has the potential to turn into an even bigger war than the Curse War.
So we Currently have: The Coalition, Stain, Accendent Frontier, BoB vs. Imperium, Fountain, DMGI, Smash, and a few other northern alliances. Should be a very interesting few weeks seeing how the remaining factions align them selves.

As our friends DMGI have our fullest support in whatever way they decide to deal with this.
So long as you have DMGI set to -10 you can also set Rubra to -10

This issue has been resolved in game. All previous standings are being returned to Damage Industries and Rubra libertas Militia (neutral). ASCN members can get updates to the issue on our forums.
