Hello there, are you sober yet? It's been a couple months and in making sure we fulfill our commitents to casino accounting we are finalizng the contract for EveVegas 2013. As voted in by a very large majority at EveVegas 2013 we are moving to the Rio where they are offering us their suites for $99 (their website is showing a price of $200 right now so thats a good deal) more excitiing for you as an attendee we are negioating for 10 high roller experiences, limos, suites and diamond status packages.
In addition I'm trying to see what we can do to mix things up this year and make eve vegas 2013 even better than 2012. This includes: 1. Workshops, instead of just listening to people talk at you break off into high/low/null sec rooms to talk with the devs in charge of your player experience about their plans and your input 2. More prizes, working hard this year to get more sponsors involved 3. A bigger better reception, still working the details on this so I don't want to promise something we can't deliver.
I'm currently looking at the weekend of Oct 17-19, 2013 and hope to have more news to share in the near future. |

What about a poker tournament?
Maybe have something tied to EVE Online Hold'Em (http://www.eohpoker.com/).
There's so much work done on the custom EVE chips every year, maybe we could put them to good use.
We are talking about doing this as an alternative to the pub crawl for those who don't want to stumble and drink around vegas.
The casino has some restrictions (naturally) but we are working through it. |

We've had people come as far away as australia. There two things I can say to hopefully make your decision. 1. You may not come to meet specific people, but everyone has a great time together. You'll have new friends by the end of the weekend. 2. It's Las Vegas, even if you never actually make it to the convention you had an amazing time, go see the hangover. |

Yes the contract is signed and we are set for Oct 18-20.
The night of Oct 18th is the pub crawl. The event is Oct 19-20.
Mostly likely start sales after fan fest, only earlier if we suddenly get some deals worked out early. |

As for when ticket sales start... they start NOW!

Ticket presales started facebook fans first on saturday night, we've already sold 35 out of the first 50 at $150. Here's your shot at getting a cheap ticket! |

Not finding out anything on the purchase page. >_< http://www.evevegas2.com/index.php/about/It's from last year, but is probably still accurate Thank you! Is the "Not so early bird' the same as the early bird as far as the schwag and other stuff, or is it just the remaining tickets being sold the same as the reception tickets?
Yes all non reception tickets are the same as far as what you get, you are just getting a chance at a cheaper price by buying early and allowing me to pay the $19,000 in deposits due between now and the covention time. EveVegas is actually a $40,000 affair of which we lose money like champs.
The reception ticket is good for non game playing companions/gfs/wifes/partners/buddies/enemies/frenimies/aliens/escorts/servants who want to come along but don't care about Eve.
I'll be updating the website soon to reflect all these things for the current year as well as begninning the unveiling of all the things to get excited about this year! |

One last, the Rio has gone to a daily resort fee system I understand, assuming I havent misread things any idea what the fee figure is?
As far as I knew no Caesars hotel uses resort fees, I will confirm this
Update: As a quick experiment I compared our reservation link to the main reservation site. The main reservation site does indeed state there is a $18/night resort fee, our reservation link does not have any such fee stated. |

Update Time!
132 Tickets Sold and a Plex Update.
The number of Plex for Tickets has been quoted to me but it won't be official until early next week. When its been verified I will post it.
The plex portal page to buy EveVegas tickets will be up in early June.
There is a small number of $175 tickets left before they jump to $200 for those who don't want to use Plex for tickets. |

Can you post some stats as to how many people from what alliances have their tickets bought?
Can CCP Recurve come?
I can and will post the alliance ticket sales, I just have to fix one thing When I sold the first 50 tickets I forgot to add the question box for alliance membership, so I need to get that added from the first 50 ticket buyers before I start posting the stats.
Beyond that it's now officially 15 plex to buy a ticket to EveVegas, the page to do so should be up next week according to CCP.
CCP Recurve is welcome to come, I just don't know whose paying for him to :) |

Neckerll wrote:Ralina Foley wrote:Neckerll wrote:Hi guys
I am a gamer but I hate gambling, card games, casinos in general... So Vegas does not have much attraction to me.
Appart of the Grand Canyon, what is interesting to see in Vegas? Will there be events like fan fest organised there by CCP?
Is there an other EVE Online event in north America, ideally in New England, I could attend?
If not, it would be cool that CCP organise something official, for example along with PAX East in Boston. There was a small get together this year, but a real EVE event would be nice. As a local, I can tell you there is plenty of other entertainment sources besides gambling. Various shows, the Strip and its many entertainment venues, shopping, hoover dam. There is the Springs Preserve and Mt Charelston for the outdoorsy types, and plenty of shooting ranges that rent out guns, to include fully automatics. With all of the rain we have had, the hiking is quite nice, not to mention things have cooled down a lot. The Freemont experience is also pretty neat. Also, if you are from the east or midwest, try In-N-Out for a distinct and tasty burger. I won't say its the best burger, but it certainly is good and 1 of a kind. Fresh. Oh, and of course the many other dinning options at your disposal. Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world. There is plenty aside from gambling. Sounds nice! Finally I will come, and bring my 22 year old daughter with me! We will stay up to monday then take a flight to San Diego for the rest of the week...
Hope you guys enjoy it, there is still much to reveal that will make you glad you did! |
