I know the basic meaning of speed, agility and inertia. But I'm kinda lost which attribute helps with what and what modules are best used.
The speed (as in top speed) of a ship is determined by mass and thrust of AB/MWD if you use them, I guess? What about the propulsion strength, does it have anything to do with that?
Agility would be how fast your ship turns?
What exactely is Intertia doing? Is that how fast you accelerate/break?
Modules: Speed can be improved by Overdrive Injectors or Nanofibers. Nanofibers have the additional advantage of improving the ship's agility. Intertia Stabilizer: Would those allow you to go into warp faster?
Would be cool if someone could put those pieces together. Maybe someone even has some numbers to calculate speed etc acording to mass. Thanks in advance!

Edited by: Forsch on 07/06/2005 23:22:24 I've compared nanofibers to inertia stabilizers on a sigil. The nanofibers were better in every aspect.
- ship went faster into warp from zero speed and being aligned. - ship went faster into warp from zero speed and opposite alignment. - ship went faster into warp from full speed and opposite alignment.
What are inertia stabilizers good for at all? |

How fast your ship breaks is something totally different. that dpeends how many people are shooting at you.

Except that the nanofibers make it so when your armor goes you pop instantly with absolutely no hull to speak of.
Should also be noted that overdrives make you faster, but they also make you less agile.

yes the inertia stabilizers will make you go to warp faster!
they control how fast your ship can turn-to point directly at its destination and then you go into warp!
so adding a few of those will help you i would assume-get past a camp you discover when you come into a system-where you would need the bookmarks to get past a camp you warp into! :) SPACE NOOB:

Agility isn't just turning, its overall acceleration. A sigil with 5 Nano I's on it can almost enter warp before the uncloaking graphics have cycled, esp. with good agility affecting skills (Spaceship Command and Evasing Maneuvering).
As to the hull reduction, true ... except if its that deep in, you're already pretty much spo'd in anything smaller than a battleship, and even then ... with 0% resistance, what's left is barely better than butter if you don't hop pretty darn quick.
