Where is CVA ?
CVA: "An alliance founded late in the reign of the Emperor Heideran as a meeting point for Amarrian Corps interested in the defence of the Holy Amarr Empire from the incursions of terrorists and pirates."
Historically CVA is pro-Amarr and is fighting Ushra'Khan which is pro-Minmatar. Ushra'Khan is in the Minmatar Militia. CVA is not in the Amarr Militia CVA doesn't even have a wing in the Amarr Militia
Retribution has been a great patch for the Factionnal Warfare. It's fun, challenging and FW is very active.
So my point is: what is CVA doing ? Why don't they help the Amarr militia (at least with a wing or something)

there's some longass reason why CVA doesn't do FW, iirc it has something do with Amarr FW members being placed on CVA's KoS list turning the whole thing into a huge hassle, so now CVA only helps specific corps but only in an unofficial capacity. |

CVA is led by a Caldari character and they let outsiders get rich off of Amarrian space, they survive because they have friends instead of relying on their military might. They do not represent Amarr at all nor should the be seen as the premier go-to alliance for Amarr players. As such it makes sense for them to not have any presence in Factional Warfare. To be honest, most in CVA don't go in for all that Amarr roleplay nonsense. |

CVA is a player run alliance with players paying with their own money to play a game. CVA is doing what they want to do in the game.

Pretty sure most of the Amarr militia view CVA as a waste of space, much the same as many (most?) in Minmatar militia view U'K. |

I remember seeing a group of CVA role players in Onga (Minmatar space) once, they asked me if I wanted to become their slave. I cordially declined, lol. This was around when I first started playing. It kind of scared me. Thought I was gonna be taken hostage or something. ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o )

In this case CVA should stop calling themselves as "defenders of the Amarr Empire" and drop their Amarrian Role Play |

Bingo, also because of the reasons I mentioned earlier in this thread.

Why? They can still defend the honor of the empire (in game) by other means can they not?
Or maybe they're having a tiff with the Empress at the moment, and the two aren't speaking to each other. I hear that happens.
Or maybe you should just bugger off and leave them to play the game the way they want. Bumping, leave it alone. |

To be fair, being an RPer doesn't mean denying the reality of the situation.
There is a significant chunk of the RP community who remain loyal to the four empires who view the Faction War as a waste of time and energy, since what it essentially amounts to is a never-ending meatgrinder bushfire conflict. There is no existential threat as long as CONCORD limits the engagement, and so it basically just becomes a distraction for bored capsuleers who are totally okay with throwing away their crews.
You know, just like the non-RPer groups see it, with a little bit of zazz. |

Initially, they were sore because alliances couldn't join. As a result, they KOS-listed pretty much every successful Amarr corp that wasn't PIE or 1PG for abstruse reasons in most cases as Nicola already pointed out.
At least that was the case during my time in FW (Empyrean age release up until 2.5 years ago...).
I was under the impression that their line of thought was something like "We'd boycott FW for having been left out but can't, because we can't join in the first place, so we KOS-list everyone doing well to show we're the true Amarr" RP humbug.
