Edited by: Count TaSessine on 13/06/2005 17:53:19 Ladies and gentlemen,
We are now ready to take the first small step towards the realisation of our vision, the creation of an Interstellar Starbase Syndicate with the declared goal of aiding alliances populate 0.0 space and kickstart the T2 economy.
We have a volonteer character who have trained the necessary skills, called Serenity Steele. Tomorrow morning (June 14, approx 12 hours from now), she will create a corporation that will be called ISS Operations Department [ISSO]. This corp will become the executor corp of the ISS alliance. The HQ will be in Yulai, DED.
The applicant corporations are invited to place an alt into ISSO that will have wallet viewing privileges, signup text should be their corporation name. You then transfer the sign-up money (using the corporation wallet transfer option) directly corp > corp. This makes it easy to track who has paid. Base signup fee has been set at the cost of running a small POS for two weeks, ie. 25M ISK. If you can pay more you're welcome, as it will help us get faster off the ground.
We need 1 billion ISK to start the alliance. Myself, my corporation, the Jarizza Syndicate, and benefactors who prefer to remain anonomyous at this stage, have put 600M ISK on the table towards the creation of the alliance, and we think it's fair that other interested parties contribute to the seed capital. The idea is that the capital we put down now in excess of the base member fee will be recouped in the weeks to come by member join fees and monthly fees.
If you're new to this idea, please check out the following threads for more information: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=189205 http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=189209
It is our hope that many of you share our vision.

Well, they're wrong. You need it at lvl 5 to do it, and it cost 1 bill.

I reckoned this would come up. I don't know what it is about Eve that makes people this way. Look at it like this: since we can put 600M on the table (and that ISK will be in the corp when people join) going through all this, doing all this, to scam a measly 400M just isn't worth the effort. Wouldn't you agree ?

400mil is 400mil either way you look at it. Might be an elaberate way to do a scam, and probley one of the easier ways to do so and get the money but thats besides the point.
I'm a POS owner and look forward to seeing what these guys do. Good Luck. --------------------------------------------------- Ummm ya.... |

That's a simple one: the people. :)

400 million is a joke. I wouldn't sacrifice my reputation for 4 billion, let alone 400 million. 40 billion, maybe, because with the money I could buy a new character. -- The best description of alliances, ever:

Gents,
Before we could create the new corporation, we had to transfer the char who will create the executor corporation to another account. It seems CCP only updates this information after down time. This means we have been delayed a bit, but we're going 'live' after the next DT.
Just a quick note: we are very pleased with the many interested corporations who have written and convoed us the last couple of days. It is evidence that we were right in suspecting there is a place in Eve for an organisation like the one we're creating, the ISS. We have also received some very positive indications from a couple of alliances. Since we haven't signed any contracts yet, it is inappropriate to disclose their identity, but we will do so as soon as we can.

ANNOUNCEMENT
The Interstellar Starbase Syndicate is becoming reality. The executor corporation is now 'live' and is called Interstellar Starbase Syndicate Operations, corp ticker [ISSO].
Headquarters are in Yulai X, DED Assembly Plant.
As previously stated, we're accepting applications from all interested parties and stakeholders. The entry fee is 25M and it should be transferred as a corporation to corporation transfer (NOT a character to corp transfer), so that we can track who have paid the fee. You're invited to join the ISSO with an alt, who will be given viewing rights to the ISSO accounts.
As soon as we have raised the necessary isk, we will go one step further and create the actual alliance.
My alt in the ISSO is called Pur Gomeiz.

We're in negotiations with 3 major alliances.
I'm curious to hear if it matters particularly which part of 0.0 space corporations gain access to. I would have imagined that initially as long as there are good moons and mining opportunities, pretty much all 0.0 is like all other if you're not engaged in the politics. |

It's more of a curiosity thing. It doesn't matter where it is, specifically, but it'd be cool to know. Is BoB one of these alliances, by any chance? I would be pretty happy living in Querious.
