I was thinking that a dead give away for a Titan or Super Cap being built is the presence of the CSMA array in the POS
Can the CSMA be removed when the ship is in build then put it back when the ship is ready to be delivered?
I simply don't know enough about build mechanics to know if this would work but I suspect not as the materials could be tied into the array.
I do understand that a level of SOV would be needed to anchor the CSMA.

You could always tag an anchored can with text in several languages that states everyone should cover their eyes when looking at the POS.
I think the cap assembly array being present and the fact that someone holds sov are going to be bigger giveaway.
The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the ho's and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!' and I'll look down, and whisper 'no.' |

This is confirmed. We specialize in discreet supercapital construction and our vast armadas are more than enough to guard any builds. Contact me ingame and I'll get you sorted. Always follow orders little bees |

I'll a hide a titan for you. Just sit still long enough and nobody will ever see it again... you need to turn all your defensive modules off for this to work by the way. Give a man a match and you warm him for a day.

Wouldn't want to let the people who would want your titan to be aborted to know the tricks used to hide it now would we. |

The only way to hide it is to prevent anyone from getting within 14 AU of the pos and d-scanning it. So stick it in a quiet system and guard it 24/7. Also remember that diplomacy is a powerful tool. |

Unless you have close ties to one of the major power blocks that can protect the build, do not even remotely think about setting one up. It will be yanked down (destroying anything that is being built) faster than you were trolled in this thread.

This question confuses me a bit the way it's currently worded. When I think of an "unwanted Titan", I think of the CSMA'd POS not wanting to be CSMA'd (rather than not wanting a baby Titan).
When I think of an unplanned Titan, I see it more as it was unplanned, however it doesn't necessarily mean it's unwanted. Do you understand what I'm getting at?
Nearly 50% of all CSMA builds are reported to be unplanned. Out of those, I believe about 25-28% are unwanted CSMA builds. A corporation can experience an unplanned baby Titan but still very much desire and/or be fit to field it. Titan abortion is a solution for an unwanted Titan, however there are some who cannot or do not wish to abort because of religious convictions, a lack of resources to get an abortion, and even bullying to not get one until it is too late. Bullying can also occur in reverse, where the Alliance and/or corpmates bully the CSMA'd POS to abort.
All of these things and more can be determining factors in a corporation's decision to have or not have a Titan abortion. (a¦á_a¦â) ~ (my spaceblog) http://getoutnastyface.blogspot.co.uk/~ (a¦á_a¦â) |

The whole point is that people know where they are, they exist to make fights happen. Otherwis ethey would just let you build them in stations.

You should totally build a Titan, you should also TOTALLY get your corp to help mine to build it.
Especially if you're renting space in a non-station system that you're not allowed to have a refinery in and have to haul the ore to a refinery station and then drag the materials back again.
What could possibly go wrong? |
