Is it just me or have drones become less "smart", cause I have noticed now after the newest AI tweek my light scout drones after killing a frig splitting up and some went for another frig while some went for some random battleship that was shooting at me?
I know splitting up was known to happen before but never in this manner or this often. |

Heh.
The thing is that in the past they at least followed the patter, saying for light scouts, go for any frig that is attacking me then move up a class to cruisers if no frigs left then move up to battleships if no cruisers are left. But now its like **** logic I will attack whoever I want. |

My drones are known to randomly select a battleship to attack, while being killed of by frigs. |

This actually. I The Blockade for example, out of all ships present they always start chewing on the Trigger BS. |

Can't say I've seen this - I remember distinctly that in the past (before Retri) they INSISTED in attacking that pesky elite cruiser 30km away while they had frigates right next to them. On the other hand, there are missions where they will singlehandedly mop up the whole frigate line next to my battleship.
One other interesting detail concerning that Target Painter idea I kept posting about - I've noticed that whenever I use a TP, small drones won't get shot. Like, at all, there's literally not a single enemy, not even elite frigates, that would touch them and I can leave them out from start to finish, as long as TP is up. The same holds for medium drones from a battleship (such as CNR) - nothing will touch them at all. But if I drop medium drones from an Arbitrator, for some reason the NPCs will charge them even if the TP is up. |

I think this has something to do with "agro" making, using a mmorpg term here so dont shoot me pls. When your drones shoot at other frigs they make agro towards frigs but when you turn your TP on it agroes every ship not just the ones you are shooting at. That is just my opinion on why that may be the case but then again only elite frigs switch to your drones with having some "agro making module such as TP or cap transfers or something like that". But as said this is just my opinion, it can or not be right. |
