It is important to have a CEO that is ALOT online. has to be likable in any fasion u prefere. hard ass, bad mofo, caring, god at giving advice, drunk. whatever get¦t loality going. my case my CEO is a woman so most of us go the exstra mile to be nice :).
also trusted directors to handle the CEO off time is a must. trusted dir is most often someone who is likable and has spent 3-4 months constantly online and has some of the likable qualitys. + talking alot without being annoing helps.
the rest is something u just learn on the fly.
remember good CEO has to have some issues hardline policy and the rest well willing to lisen and comprimice |

A good corp is solid, knows what it's doing, succeeds in it and has fun doing it.
Some points worth considering (a quick sketch):
Trade (read: not trading) òClarity (purpose) òSetting goals and creating strategies
Inner relations òHierarchy, distribution of tasks and rights, equality, good spirit and justice òLeadership co-ordination (directors' responsibilities and unity)
Public relations òImage (policies, promoting) òPolitics (standings, relationships, possibly alliance, ROE)
Economics òCorp and member funds and their relationship
Activities òImportant in keeping people interested òSuccessfull organizing
Tools òForums òWritten guidelines and policies (avoiding misunderstandings , doubt and disbelief in leadership) òTS (essential for co-ordinating ops and enhancing corp's cohesion)
Leadership òActivity òMotivation òCompetence
Well, the right attitude is probably the most important thing aside good organizing; just remember that a corporation's primary purpose is to provide an enjoyable environment for game play, with good company, not create pressure and uncomfortable responsibilities. So don't make too strict rules (unless absolutely neccessary).

What are some member payout schemes that people favor? Its hard to place value on time and digital things..
How do you go about it?

I'd definitely like to hear about pay schemes, and especially how you all use shares and dividends to the corp's advantage.

Originally by: Cartiff I brag to my members about how many kills i got that day, it makes em want to go out and do better..... or they die alittle inside. Eitherway i get the desired result.
On a more serious note, i tell my guys when they do something good, and beat them with sticks when they *snip* up. Seems to work ok.

At the moment, for corporation payouts, we're using a homegrown formula. Based off of membership level and time assiting in [event]. Without this being a large math lesson, everyone starts with a base % cut, the remainder gets divvied out proprotionately by a quick multiplier of (rank*sessions).
As for shares, we've agreed to let those sit idle, only using the percentage from contracts that is reserved for payout to be cut up as paychecks.

Using share dividends as member payouts can be dodgy.
Reason being, if a shareholder leaves the corp, there's no way to get the share(s) back unless they hand them over.
I'd like CCP to come with a "payroll" tool or somesuch, but i guess that'll be "Soon" if at all. ____________________________________________
