To counter the growing problem with cargo can theft. I thought I would develope a second character as a one off 'hit man' to take down the next thief who sweeps up cans dropped by pirates I've killed while I am still fighting.
All I need him to do is get in and kill the target before concord arrive. Most of these thief types seem to be in mid level frigates. So I was thinking to equip my pilot with a basic Punisher, or other race equivalent. Then train up to level 3 with a single weapon type, frigate, and space ship skills.
I don't want to spend to much time on him, only 3-4 day, but I was wondering if anybody could suggest any other 'must have' skills to help him get in and make a quick kill before he gets smeared by Concord.

I would get him Missle launcher lvl4, torpedos lvl1, fit 2 launchers with 1 torp each into ..er.. damn, the newb ships do not have missle slots. The cheapest ship with 2 Missle slots is the caldari griffin.
Still, that should be the most effective way to get rid of those buggers. Fit overdrives in your low slots and some AB in your medium, fly FAST very near him and release two torps in point blank range. A "real" kamikaze attack ;)
Has the added bonus that a multiple torp explosion often podkills someone when their ship is destroyed.

its funny .. cargo theft likely wouldnt be as much of a problem if they didnt have 3 minute eject waits on containers. If you are mining with a hauler as a partner you dont have to keep your cargo exposed as long. It seems like fixing one problem just helped to create another.

Thanks Ilia. My main character is quite wealthy now, so my banzai boy won't need to worry about using any noob equipment. It actually going to be a bit of a wast of isk, but boy! Do I plan to have fun <grins>

You can only fit torps into H-50s, and they take 50 powergrid each. Therefore, you need a crusier to shoot torps :)

you can get a H-50 into a frigate. with lvl4 engineering and 2 reactor control units you will get 51 power of a frigate with 35 base power core. that limits it to 3 frigates. Merlin, Rifter and Tristan.
Tristan has 3 low slots so i suggest you go with that. with a tristan and 3 reactor control units the total power sum will be 56.
