Anyone ever noticed that when big things happen in your life, your dreams are more vivid and weirder?
I am currently in IT but been working to get a mining job in Aus, last night i had a strange dream:
I was a bird, on a school bus on my way home from bird school. I got off the bus and started flapping my wings, flying through the air to fly down the road to home... If i flapped my arms/wings really hard i flew really fast! Anyway, i landed in the backyard ok.
Anyone else remember any weird dreams they ever had? |

Because of strong prescription opiates every dream I have is a very vivid and strange dream, it took some getting used to at first but generally its pretty cool. |

not really a dream, but one day after a really good nights sleep, I woke up and in that fuzzy 5-10 seconds after you wake up, I thought to myself, "man, I would love to make a BPO of that night of sleep" |

It's been my experience that every dream I really enjoyed isn't at all interesting to anyone else.
I have had some bizarre computer game induced dreams, though. Back when I used to play tons of RTS games, I had several dreams where I personally existed as a collective group of tanks and such. |

Meh im bored so why not
Im known to have very very strange and violent dreams, had them as long as i can remember and no idea why. Gives people some fun tho since they are trying to figure out what they can possibly mean. But this is one i had a long time ago,and is easier to explain then most of my dreams.
I have no idea where this took place really. It looked like the house where i grew up but the surroundings where a bit off. It was my sister, her husband and their two kids (at that time 4 and 2 or somewhere around there) and me ofc. But for some reason Jack from The Immortals where there. Why it was him i dont know but you know how it is in dreams,if there is a face you dont know your mind will try to find someone to place them with to identefy them. I hadent seen the movie for years but i used to love it.
But anyway. Jack was pointing a gun at us,while we where at the second floor of the house. Somehow i managed to get the gun away from him and i shot him twice, once in each eye. But he dident die, dident even react. So while i was standing with my mouth open just staring at him he took the gun away from me and shot me and i died.
In the dream i was dead, with my eyes open, but i could see and hear everything going on. Jack went downstairs and set the house on fire, trapping my famely. So they threw me (my body) out the windov (before you ask no i do not consider my self fat lol) and then my brother in law jumped out. Im guessing i was ment to lessen the damage from the fall. Then my sister threw out the kids so my brother in law could catch them, before she jumped. But as they where doing all this my head was tilted over to the side and i saw Jack just standing staring at me. I have no idea how to explain how he could stare without eyes but those two gaping holes where his eyes should have been seemed,well...like they actually saw me. I dont remember exactly what i felt,i think i was more curius then scared for my famely, but what got to me was that he looked so pleased with him self, even if my famely got away. Its one of those things that only makes sense in a dream and simply cant be explained.
But well, that was one of my more interesting ones that i cant qualefy as a nightmare. More, memorable

Ive had dreams where I can't sleep or woke up and did something then went back to bed. It's disturbing as I have been known to sleepwalk. In fact last year I sleepwalked some time just before actually waking up and put my deodorant in the microwave.
I think it was beacuse the container was black and shiny like my coffee mugs but had utterly no memory of doing it. Took months to get that perfumey smell out of my microwave. |

Dark have been my dreams of late....
Very often I have zombie dreams - flesh eaters of various types. Sometimes they are "Romero zombies" that shuffle around slowly, sometimes they are fast screamer types. Sometimes they are very proactive, and sometimes you can walk right past them and they don't notice.
I am never a zombie, but always having to deal with them in some way, from destroying them to avoiding them.
Never have any of these dreams been nightmares, and some pretty sick stuff happens in them too.
The only time I was ever creeped out was one dream I had about people working at computer keyboards with these vaporlike skeletal hands, "doing evil in the world" - millions of little keys being clicked harmlessly but destroying lives and hopes.
I consider that a political dream.
Then there was this one with a little kid who had another little grotesque screaming head in her mouth and that was the only one that made me jump out of bed. |

I can spend an entire day in my bed if I don't have anything to do. Back when I was 17-18 I was going through some sort of depression or something along those lines. I would not be able to drag my ass out of bed and deal with life basicly. I would spend 12-16 hours a day in bed and eventually I learned about vivid dreaming and being able to control my own dreams. It was not full control tough. While I couldn't control them in detail I could change the set and setting in a dream and decide what I would be saying in a conversation I had in the dream, I could not however decide to fly whenever I felt like but punching someone I didn't like in a dream was possible for me. Sometimes I would dream that I was falling from some object, and I kept falling and falling then I would be able to take control and start flying instead. Very cool feeling.
I would often have dreams where a person or several persons would be chasing me and I ran and ran and ran, then for some reason I would round a corner in my dream and look for a blunt object or whatever and beat the **** out of the ones that tried to come after me. It was a good feeling, I felt like I was to some degree in control of the situation plus it was always exciting. Was like a movie. In my more vivid dreams I would have colour, smell, feel and even hearing.
Even now I still have those vivid dreams once in a while. For example if I work a lot on music, producing, I can dream up actual beats and melodies. The problem is recreating them later when I am awake. |

I often dream about eveonline...but in a mass effect way... cant really tell. All I know in the morning is that the dream was awesome..but I cannot remember anything specific.
Then there are the dreams with some **** actresses..well they leave rememberable markings in my shorts...but again..I cannot tell anything specific. [X] < Nail here for new monitor |

While I don't usually have weird dreams, I do often have lucid dreams that I'm able to control, which is pretty awesome in itself... although I have found it isn't usually as simple as wanting to do something and it happens. Often it seems the dream 'fights back' in a sense, and can throw you something unexpected as if it's trying to regain control..
An example would be that in one dream I'd decided to go and fly somewhere, so I'm happily doing a superman through the sky and I keep getting knocked off course by swarms of birds and losing my way, so I end up returning home and having sex with my hot neighbour instead..

well, i consider dreams being either some kind of processing of the impressions, we got recently, or - more likely - some visualized random noise from our brain, which will be processed by other brain areas responsible for our mental being. And as there's no "usual" filter or activity, we are used to have when awake, these part of the brains try to work on the random input in an uncoordinated way. This could explain the lack of sense of so many dream pictures.
One of the most interesting dream situations i ever had, was the following:
As a small child i saw a picture of a very frightening monster in a (in my today's opinion: bad designed) fairy tail book. This monster was mentally haunting me for long time, especially in nightmares.
But as i grow older, one day - or better: one night - i was again dreaming of the following situation: I was lying in my bed - unable to move. There was hardly any light; and i felt: The monster was invisibly out there again, ready to attack me.
Every time up to that night, i was a pure victim. But that night something changed: I was somehow annoyed by that ever repeating dream situation. Anger was growing in me. And i waited for the inevitable. The monster started the attack, but THIS TIME, i was suddently able to move. I hold my eyes closed, and attacked back the monster. I was punching and kicking him the hell out of me. I'm pretty sure i was also yelling something due to my anger.
I woke up. ........ but since then the monster never ever came back into my dreams . |

The only people that don't dream are suffering from extremely debilitating sleep disorders. It is a medically recognised fact that anyone that sleeps healthily dreams. |

I don't get that often but I still love when that happens. This only happened once but one time I fell asleep at about 10-11 and the next thing I know it was 8 in the morning, it literally felt like I had been asleep for less than a second, was pretty cool
