Curently if you shoot any thing that can drop any thing above 27k m3, the server eats it and puts it down a black hole of onnomnom, when it gets turned in a can and fails the if cargo above 27k = implod, this is also a issue when some one salvages a carrier wreak, orca wreak, freighter wreak or any thing else that can carry single items above 27k in size. |

My experience with this is that the salvager will not operate on the wreck if it contains more than a jetcan's worth in volume, not that the loot disappears.
This one is just a manner of looting first. |

Make loot cans unlimted in size and player made ejected cargo cans current or some thing.
I lost all the ship loot in an SMA once due to this
Saw the can appear and then vanish
Wouldn't have Wasted my time if I knew this now happened

OK, yeah, that's kind of stupid... they couldn't have made it where no ships drop and instead only scrap, intact modules from said ships and maybe intact ship building parts? I mean, that almost seems like it'd be a simple "if else" or case statement to me :/. Maybe a long and time consuming one to write, but not overly hard. Probably at least, I'll admit there are scenarios where it might not be that simple. |

It used to be if you blew up a ship hangar, some of the ships inside would inject into space... It used to be if you blew up a corp hangar/assembly array/silo, some of the stuff inside would drop as cans in space...

It used to be that you could blow up a control tower then unanchor all the modules and then go re-anchor it at your own POS and take out the goodies.
I got my first tech 2 BPO this way, and plenty of over really nice things.
Dunno if it's still that way, but it seems to be the smartest way to go about it. Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX |

It used to be that "dropped" ship would just kick out into space... waiting for someone to board. I've picked up Ravens and Megathrons from SMA's I've blown up. --- If CCP has changed this, so BS's and Tengu's no longer drop when I blow up an SMA, it explains why I rarely get anything other than shuttles and frigates in the past many months... CCP, fix this...... or provide a damn good explanation why it was changed!!!
This weekend I destroyed some silo's that dropped multiple cans of loot (each can containing 27k m3 of Reaction Products). So I know it's possible to ket lots of stuff dropping still....

If it is just that any items over 27km3 are being destroyed though then I don't see what the big problem is. Surely that would only destroy unpackaged ships and packaged ones above a battlecruiser.
none split able items gets destroyed, you still get multicans.
the issue is that ccp cba to code loot cans to be infi size like wreaks and just trash your loot if its in courior contracts/fittedships/unpacked bc+. |

The truly amusing part to all this, is that it in no way combats shuttle bombs. Tons and tons and tons of jetcans will still pop out, with 5 shuttles each. Or you could mass assemble/disassemble rookie ships, load hangars full of civilian mods, and produce similar effects. This was a poorly done fix, if you can even call it an intended mechanic. |
