Edited by: NGRU Rix on 13/07/2005 01:38:25 Edited by: NGRU Rix on 13/07/2005 01:38:08 Commanders, Officers and Deadspace Complex end bosses now have a chance of dropping 1-run blueprint copies of faction ships. This compensates the decrease in bounty for Complexes. The end is the goal, not the road to the end.
Well, it seems all overseers are dropping them, CCP you need to fix this ASAP because people are profiting of the earlier levels of the complexes big time.
Remember The end is the goal, not the road to the end.

Tho i do get what u mean, i cant forsee it becomeing a major isk generator, cos the prices will just bottom out, it wont take long before a faction frig sells 4 20m.
The only "issue" i can see is huge devalueing of faction ships, considering some of the prices ive seen some of these ships sell at, it might not be to bad a thing if they come down a tad.....

Edited by: NGRU Rix on 13/07/2005 01:49:54 I'm not talking about the de-value of faction ships, im talking about the patch notes specifically saying its the end boss who is only supposed to drop the BPC's.
CCP have specifically made a little motto to go with it and even decreased the bounties to try to get people to stop farming early levels and actually complete the whole thing.
Only the end boss is supposed to drop the super uber loot - ie faction ship bpcs, the fact that the other bosses are to is a MAJOR BUG!
Also please mod dont lock this, all the complexes in the game get farmed every day anyway, its not like people will flock to abuse this, since they already do. I want CCP to see this fast.

Sorry by oveerseers i thought u ment the "end boss", you mean that theres a bp dropping in several sections of each complex, so u do 1 complex and possibly come out with 3-4 prints?
If so, yea i guess thats a tad silly

faction ships have interesting stats and bonuses, if their price drops we will see more of them used in pvp which is good.

Yes, you could get 4-5 blueprints out of 1 complex, 1 for each level.

Some of you dont seem to be seeing the problem with this, the faction bs is supposed to be the main reward for the completing the end of the complex, people are getting them drop on every level, basically getting the uber end boss reward for each level.
This defeats the reason to even kill the end boss if hes too hard, people will just go up as far as the level before that and then leave, how lame is that.
How long before CCP would get this fixed? I would have thought a bug like this would be hotfixed within a day.

Have you thought that maybe they don't know about it?
Bug report is:
<-----that way.
Or, you could petition it under exploit, if you feel it meets the criteria.
If I had firsthand knowledge to what you proclaim to be a fact, I would file it myself. --

Considering it takes HOURS for a room's key boss to spawn, getting a BPC midway through is a nice consolation present.
Some people have lives and want cool stuff too. I've not gotten such a BPC in person, but I've heard the rumors and I've seen the prices plummet into something reasonable that I can actually afford.
Maybe making it a rarer drop from the non-end bosses, but not impossible? I'm currently sitting on the 3rd level of a *3* of 10 and I'm approaching having been here 3 hrs waiting for the key carrying boss to come. If he spawns and drops a faction cruiser BPC..sweet..I'll go on in and see how much further there is to go, and probably get nothing from the end boss.

Sorry, I'm a bit sleep deprived here but.. Am I missing something? The patch notes said deadspace overseers (the deadspace complex end bosses) will have a chance to drop 1-run bpcs of faction ships and they are dropping them. Isn't that what's supposed to happen? Or are we talking about the overseer of level 1 of the complex?

They're talking about certain types of NPCs that guard keys or other such things for entering warp gates and at the end of the complex.
These overseers can sometimes just be at the end of a complex, or in each room on the way in.

Ah, so the end bosses of each level are dropping bpcs, not just the end boss of the entire complex. Looks abusable.

I can verify that the Overseer in the 2nd level of Serp 3/10's drops bpc.
So does the Sansha black Ops Squad Leader in the first level of a Sansha 3/10 or 2/10. Funny side note; The Overseer in the 2nd and final level of the Sansha complex always drops crap. ------------------

At most the complexes we have tested drop 2 bpcs a day, at most.
In order to get 3 or 4 bpcs in a day a person would have to do 2 or 3 complxes. Its about right actually. Its not like each complex is droping 40 a day.
Please if you have actual reports that state other than what I have just said post them. Dont go fabricating events, as is so popular "round heah".

I can attest to this, because I just saw him doing this in Aurohunen in his Deimos. I was in my Harpy, flying with a few friends. After we cleared out the complex, we were cleaning up the loot cans in the last level when Necro showed up. My friends bolted...I didn't. Oddly enough, he just...sat there...for about a minute or so, before even trying to lock me. Killer instincts getting a little rusty, are they?
Of course, by that time, I was already moving precisely in the direction of my warp-out point, at full speed, so the instant he tried to lock me, I was able to insta-warp out like a scared little girl. Three cheers for cowardice! Oh well, my Harpy thanked me for saving her life... ___________________________________________ ^^^***---All things serve the Beam---***^^^ GDBT is recruiting! |

Edited by: Amthrianius on 13/07/2005 06:30:32 heh this is quite funny actually
the 3/10 serp complex is by farrrrrrrr the most profitable in empire
2nd lvl - drops Vigilant bpcs 3rd lvl - drops vigilant bpcs final lvl - drops gistii items and domination items
bugged in soooooooo many ways
for a start its a 3/10 so should, if anything drop frig bpcs also its serp so should be dropping Coreli/shad serp items not gistii/domination :|
Not that this is all bad more faction ships in pvp = win, but it shouldnt be like this in empire complexes :/ ---------------

Actually, i was coming into the complex to see if any of you had been silly enough to stay near the warp in point. I was approaching you at full speed the whole time, but i have only a mwd, no ab, and move aobut 200m/s. I noticed you weren't warping out, so i kept scanning to see if you were playing "bait" while your buddies re-entered the complex to come up behind me. After a minute, i got bored and locked you to the desired effect of you leaving. _______________________________________________________

I can also confirm that the second-room boss in guristas 2/10 and sanshas 1/10 drop them. But I dont see this as a bug or anything, I am assuming (particularly given lack of CCP response to this thread) that they want faction frigates to be somewhat common, valued at a few million isk so people will actually fly them around and fight with them, not have them just be rich-kid toys like empire-faction ships are. They have good stats but not awesome, I can see them as sort of being a bridge between tech1 and tech2 in terms of cost vs effectiveness. _________________ [SAK] And Proud Of It! aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base? |
