1. If I am yellow status, what does it mean? Can anyone attack me without being flagged? Will concord defend me? How do you get yellow status?
2. What about red status?
3. I see a person with yellow status will I be attacked by concord for attacking them? (although i think this question is basically answered from number 1)
4. Where can you attack people with no fear of concord kickin your 4ss?
I think that's it for now. Thanks |

My Overview Settings (these are NOT the default!): http://go-dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/TauCabalander/Overview_Settings-Retribution.png For me, blinking red = they are a threat, blinking yellow = I can choose to attack. |

Disclaimer: some of my settings and colors have been slightly modified over the years and I've forgotten what the defaults look like. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Tok3tsu N3ko wrote:1. If I am yellow status, what does it mean? Can anyone attack me without being flagged? Will concord defend me? - If "solid yellow" then you have between -0.1 and -4.9 security status. Basically you have done "bad" things in the past but are "okay" right. If you are "blinky yellow/red" then you can be engaged by whoever you appear that way to.
- Can anyone attack you? Yes. Can anyone attack you without being flagged... depends on what you did.
- In all circumstances, no. CONCORD only punishes people who have "illegally aggressed." They will not save the "victim." If you have somehow gained aggression... CONCORD won't care.
Tok3tsu N3ko wrote:How do you get yellow status? - (solid yellow) Having "illegally" aggressed someone in the past... be it in high-sec or low-sec... but still between -0.1 and -4.9 security status. - (blinky yellow) Looting someone else's stuff from a wreck or jetcan.
Tok3tsu N3ko wrote:2. What about red status? - (solid red) Having a security status less than -5.0 (i.e. you are "criminal" status). - ("blinky red") Having "illegally" aggressed someone within the last 15 minutes... be it in high-sec or low-sec. - ("blinky" red) You are at war with someone.
Tok3tsu N3ko wrote:3. I see a person with yellow status will I be attacked by concord for attacking them? Yes. But try it anyways in a rookie ship and tell us the results.
Tok3tsu N3ko wrote:4. Where can you attack people with no fear of concord kickin your 4ss? "Low-sec" space (0.4 to 0.1 security systems) and "null-sec" (0.0 to -1.0).
Be aware that many of the same rules in high-sec apply in low-sec, there are just lower penalties. You will still incur a security status penalty for attacking a random person in low-sec (unless they are -5.0 or lower... "criminals") and gate guns will still attack you (bad news for frigates, but tankable in anything larger than a cruiser).
In null-sec there are no rules or penalties of any kind for attacking people. Just be mindful that residents of this area of space tend to not like "neutrals" and will respond to your mere presence with overwhelming force. Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

This is a false assumption. CONCORD does not protect. CONCORD only punishes, and thus is merely a deterrent for others to attack your ship in hisec. It's perfectly possible to kill a ship before CONCORD arrives on the scene to blow up the agressor(s). It is not possible for the transgressor to escape from CONCORD, attacking someone in hisec without a valid reason (he's a criminal, has a Suspect flag, or you are at war with him) will result in the agressor(s) losing their ship(s) to CONCORD. |

3. no
4. anywhere outside of high sec (1.0 - 0.5) space. However you will lose standings an eventually be unable to enter high sec if you kill enough people in low sec (0.1 - 0.4). U will also be attaacked by gate and station guns in low sec if yoou have an agression timer. There are no repercussions at all for killing in null sec and worm holes (0.0). U will always aquire a 15 minute aggression timer after pvp combat. Be aware of this if you plan to jump from null sec and worm hole space into low sec as gate guns will attack, or if jumping into high sec concord will attack. 1. THIS IS NOT AN ALLIANCE!!-á - 2. I am pretty sure this is no longer the case.
I believe you may be confusing the 15 minute aggression timer, which affects the log-off mechanic and the 1 minute PvP flag which makes you fair game to other players. Gate/Station guns no longer shoot you unless you go red while in their range. |
