Yes kids gather round, and Uncle Zorn will tell you all a story about the big nasty boogie man called "BoB".
There once was a big nasty monster called BoB, and BoB loved to pick on all things weak and easy. You see, sadly the BoB had a sad little life dedicated to "greifing" people.
Well one day the BoB came into a place called 3Z and began attacking a "small" little POS will only 3 tiny guns to protect it and thought "this will be easy" and "I can then beat on my puny chest and declare how Uber I am."
After the first attack BoB thought he would come back and destroy the little POS the next day, but big nasty BoB, being a PvPr's and not interested in learning much else did not know how POS's really work and about the wonder working power of Strontium and what it does for the reinforcement mode.
So there the small POS was, her owners inside her bubble working away, after 14 hours her reinforcement time seemed to be running out, doom hovered over the little POS like a black cloud creeping over the mountains. The final minutes began to silently drop away...tic, tic, tic...30 minutes now...tic, tic, tic.
Like yellow vomit from a sick dragon the BoB slithered out of it's dank ratholes and stops about 428KM from the troubled little POS. It's down to 18 minutes...tic..tic...tic...15 minutes.
BoB could sense his victory at hand, He knew he was about to claim his prize. With a sudden lunge the BoB looking like 14 battleships surged forward to within a scant 30 KM of the hopeless victom...tic,tic,tic...4 minutes...tic,tic,tic
Then spewing forth from the assembled mob came at least 100 drones ready to overwhelm the POS defenses...tic,tic,tic...1 minute...tic,tic,tic
Space grew silent, as only the dead of space can, the silence become almost deafening...tic,tic,tic...30 seconds...tic,tic,tic...10 seconds....tic,tic,tic....5 seconds...tic...tic...tic...tic...tic...times up...
The little POS began to wake from its slumber, "online" began to flash, in a moment it would all be over, in a moment the beast would have it's kill, havoc and murder will have it's day, the rest of the game be damned, "BoB is here to make them all miserable. I don't care...the more they hate me, the more I like it" BoB thought to himself...
But when all seemed lost, and all hope drained...the little POS suddenly seen that it's shields were below 50% and that it had a great big pile of Struntium to eat so it gobbled up some of it and went right back to sleep for another 14 hours in a deep slumber called "reinforcement". The little POS suggled up and ignored BoB as if he was not there.
BoB, sat there in stunned silence for a moment not quite beliving what he had just seen...after a few "WTFs", and several other words not permitted on this site and calling the owners of the little POS cheaters with no basis for such. The nasty BoB once and sunk back into the dark holes and flat rocks from which they had come.
And the little POS lived another day.
Moral of story? There is no lesson here just the pure statisfaction of watching some smack talking, miner hunting, noob killing, hauler ganking, <insert really foul words here> so and so's get handed a "big fat nothing" and no bragging rights for killing a weak and nearly defensless POS.
I have not such a good hoot in a long time. I am glad I was there to see it.

Let's tell a story about not one, but two, pos, shall we?
Both small, both with 4 small guns, one with a medium gun. One with hardeners, one without. Both with disruption batteries.
Let's tell a story about both pos's going down in to reinforced mode, not once, but twice in 32hours.
Let's tell a story about a 25+ FA battleship fleet (the biggest group of FA we've seen in the ENTIRE time we've been in core, since 4th July) that had to rush down to save these poor POS, losing 7 on the jump in to system.
Let's tell a story about those pos's now being unanchored, moved away, sovereignty being defaulted on the system in constellation Taurus.
Yes, let's tell that story, but in short:
1. FA had 2 pos in 3z. 2. We took both in to reinforced mode. 3. FA, because their ISK supply might be affected (and not because their alliance mates needed help, people such as HUN corp, defending core) amass a fleet to save the POS. 4. They lose 7 battleships in the process. 5. They unanchor the TWO pos's in this system and give up sovereignty on it.
Now, let me equate each of those points to how we look at this particular story:
2. We win. 3. We win. 4. We win. 5. We win.
He who laughs last, laughs longest.
We're still laughing.

1). How do you know the color of a dragon's vomit.
2). Do dragons really get sick?
3). We do not slither, and our ratholes are not dank.
Such inconsistencies can only mean such a story is truely and utterly FALSE. (or crap.) -----------------------------------------------

Then why the hell did you spend nearly a week feeding them strontium, and sending huge battleship fleets to defend them?
Besides, even if you did intend to move them, you still lost 11 battleships defending them over the last 3 days. Either way we win.

We weren't trying to kill your POS for "Bragging rights". We wanted to deny FA the ability to use them to generate income. We could achieve this goal three ways
1. Destroy the POS 2. Keep the POS in reinforced mode. (Bonus because Strontium is expensive) 3. Force FA to remove the POS.
We acheieved #3 after several days of maintain scenario #2. The POS are gone and can no longer feed FA's wallets. Mission Accomplished. Just wait till our Dreadnaughts come out of the ovens.

Trust me, what the POS did was as big a suprise to us as it was to them. It was simply funny how it all went down, there we are trying to get ready, there they waiting to attack, we are all watching the clock, tension building, and building, I just knew the POS was going down when they attacked, I was all lined up to beat feet as soon as they started to go down.
Then, phoof! Nothing happens...we sat there for about 10 seconds saying "what the heck just happened".
I just thought it would make a funny bit of smack fun, thats all.
But, I will hand it to BoB, they bring their game when they come.

And BooBlets, you lads need to relax a little? A better effect would have been achieved with a single response written in similar jest, rather than a multitude of "we won" obsessed posts.

FA have no position left in eve, the only thing they got is there tech2 bpo farm and the mountain of alts they buy and put onto there accounts and put in other alliances in game and chain etc and have the fun they want.
Public know FA is finished and the moment large dreads start entering the battle fields no pos will stand in the way and no fleet will destroy a organised extermination force.
No one is safe in EVE true power in eve is not money (it gets you whatever you want in game) but the ability to kick the crap out of your enemy, and when they are that much bigger than you then its even more satisfying.
Kind of funny but some times I wish I was on the enemies side of the coin all the fun people could get :[

Perhaps you are right, or not. But if this game developers allow PvPr's to as such rule the game, then it will sooner than later die away in lieu of another game that takes up the effort to create an economics based game.
PvP is a nice diversion from ratting and mining or running a corp, but like a diet of bread and water it gets old fast. Eve is a great game because, it allows for both types of people to play the game, but if the PvP side gets an Uber toy, and the industry type player cannot play his game and get his $15.00 dollars worth out of his game they will move on, and take the "real" money with them.
BoB and all the Pvp'rs should keep that in mind, "griefing" for a time just adds spice, take it too far and the player base as a whole tanks and the game goes bye, bye.
If they really like the game then perphaps they might consider how their "fun" hurts them in the long term as well. I have been to BoB's website and from the hour's worth of poking around that I did, I very much doubt that this kind of thinking really darkens their discussions to ANY degree, which is truly a sad state of affairs.
Just my 2 cents.

Eve is more about the economy than any other mmo I've seen to date. The player driven economy on a single server is what makes the game what it is.

I think your problem is that you didnt end up with right people. Personally I do both industrial stuff and pvp. What is the point of building industry if you dont have the military to back it up?
This game is great if you belong to a group of smart, capable people who are willing to do everything in the game for fun. If you do just one of those activities you will end up simple mediocre.

OK, 2 things for you Mr Cephas:
Website, BoB? Please show me our ALLIANCE website, when in fact all the public know we have is the killboard. Please feel free to post links to any other, private, non-public, secured stuff that you think you may have access to so as to enlighten, well, me (and the rest of BoB) as to where this mythical website is.
Secondly, you know absolutely nothing, yes that's right, zero about how BoB operate as a group. You know nothing of our industry, our logistics, our internal corp models OR the people that run them; so, please, before you run your mouth off on how our gaming, now, might effect our gaming, in the future, please take your 2c and go buy yourself a clue.

Of all these posts from your mates, yours sir is the only one I truly respect. Short, to the point, and honest with no chest beating or personal referals to my mental capacity, or calling me names. I happen to agree with you completely.
I would ask only only thing of you or one of your leaders. You can even eve-mail to me and not post here.
Answer me this, why is BoB attacking FA to begin with? My corp did not attack you, nobody in our corp attacked you, or even talked about attacking you or made threats of doing so. I honestly just want to know why I am fighting you guys. Please don't say ask TornSoul, Xanadu, or Big. I want you guys to tell me.
Cheers

Ok, I will post the link here in a bit, not at home right now.

(but in extremely unlikely case you're being serious, you might want to check the Eve-Online section of that forum... should hopefully help to realize you're barking the wrong Bob. >>;;
